Rosary: The Glorious Mysteries

Each mystery includes a short Bible reading with a minute of silence after reflection, before moving on to the next decade. I am grateful to Refuge Rosaries for the Rosary for this audio. The Glorious Mysteries are The Resurrection; The Ascension; The Descent of the Holy Spirit; The Assumption; and The Coronation of Mary.

It's an honor to be praying the rosary with you today as we reflect on the glorious mysteries.
In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
I believe in God,
The Father Almighty,
Creator of Heaven and Earth,
And in Jesus Christ,
His only Son,
Our Lord,
Who is conceived by the Holy Spirit,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate,
Was crucified,
Died,
And was buried.
He descended to the dead.
On the third day He rose again,
He ascended into Heaven,
And is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.
From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
The Holy Catholic Church,
The Communion of Saints,
The forgiveness of sins,
The resurrection of the body,
And the life everlasting.
Amen.
Our Father,
Who art in Heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
And forgive us our trespasses,
As we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
But deliver us from evil.

The first glorious mystery,
The resurrection.
Jesus rises from the dead.
The fruit of the mystery is faith.
And Jesus said to them,
Thus it is written,
That the Messiah would suffer and rise from the dead on the third day,
And that repentance for the forgiveness of sins would be preached in his name to all the nations,
Beginning from Jerusalem.
Our Father,

O my Jesus,

And lead all souls to heaven,
Especially those who have most need of your mercy.
The second glorious mystery,
The ascension.
Jesus leaves the apostles and bodily ascends to heaven.
The fruit of this mystery is hope.
When they had gathered together,
They asked him,
Lord,
Are you at this time going to restore the kingdom to Israel?
He answered them,
It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority,
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you,
And you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem,
To our Jadir and Samaria,
And to the ends of the earth.
When he had said this,
As they were looking on,
He was lifted up,
And a cloud took him from their sight.
While they were looking intently at the sky as he was going,
Suddenly two men dressed in white garments stood beside them.
They said,
Men of Galilee,
Why are you standing there looking at the sky?
This Jesus who has been taken up from you into heaven will return in the same way as you have seen him going into heaven.
Our Father who art in heaven,

The third glorious mystery is the descent of the Holy Spirit.
The Apostles receive the Holy Spirit in tongues of fire in the upper room with Mary.
The fruit of this mystery is the love of God.
When the time for Pentecost was fulfilled,
They were all together in one place and suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind and it filled the entire house in which they were.
Then there appeared to them tongues as of fire which parted and came to rest on each one of them and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in different tongues as the Spirit enabled them to proclaim.

The fourth glorious mystery is the Assumption.
Mary is taken into heaven by God at the end of her life here on earth.
The fruit of the mystery is the grace of a happy death.
You are the glory of Jerusalem,
The surpassing joy of Israel.
You are the splendid boast of our people.
God is pleased with what you have wrought.
May you be blessed by the Lord Almighty forever and ever.

Mary is crowned Queen of Heaven and Earth.
The fruit of this mystery is the trust in Mary's intercession.
A great sign appeared in the sky,
A woman clothed with the Sun,
With the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of twelve stars.
Our Father who art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Grant we beseech thee that meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,
That we may imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise through the same Christ our Lord.

Awesome thanks Brother. For some reason I purchased 2 old rosary beads to add to my collection of icons and other artifacts. What I was once against as idolatry I now love.
