It's an honor to be praying the Rosary with you today as we reflect on the joyful mysteries.

In the name of the Father,

And of the Son,

And of the Holy Spirit,

Amen.

I believe in God,

The Father Almighty,

Creator of Heaven and Earth,

And in Jesus Christ,

His only Son,

Our Lord,

Who is conceived by the Holy Spirit,

Born of the Virgin Mary,

Suffered under Pontius Pilate,

Was crucified,

Died,

And was buried.

He descended to the dead.

On the third day He rose again,

He ascended into Heaven,

And is seated at the right hand of God the Father Almighty.

From there He will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,

The Holy Catholic Church,

The Communion of Saints,

The forgiveness of sins,

The resurrection of the body,

And the life everlasting.

Amen.

Our Father,

Who art in Heaven,

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us,

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary,

Full of grace,

The Lord is with thee.

Blessed art thou among women,

And blessed is the fruit of thy womb,

Jesus.

Holy Mary,

Mother of God,

Pray for us sinners now,

And at the hour of our death.

Amen.

And ever shall be,

World without end.

The first joyful mystery,

The Annunciation.

The archangel Gabriel announces to Mary that she shall conceive the Son of God.

The fruit of this mystery,

Humility.

The angel Gabriel was sent from God to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph of the house of David,

And the virgin's name was Mary.

And the angel said to her,

Do not be afraid,

Mary,

For you have found favour with God.

Behold,

You will conceive in your womb and bear a son,

And you shall name him Jesus.

And Mary said,

Behold,

I am the handmaid of the Lord,

Made to be done to me according to your word.

Our Father,

Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

The third joyful mystery,

Jesus is born.

The fruit of this mystery?

Poverty.

And Joseph too went up to the city of David that is called Bethlehem,

To be enrolled with Mary his betrothed,

Who was with child.

And she gave birth to her firstborn son.

She wrapped him in swaddling clothes,

And laid him in a manger,

Because there was no room for them in the inn.

Our Father,

Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

The fourth joyful mystery,

The presentation.

Mary and Joseph present Jesus in the temple,

Where they meet Simeon.

The fruit of this mystery is obedience.

Mary and Joseph took Jesus to Jerusalem to present him to the Lord,

And to offer a sacrifice.

Now there was a man in Jerusalem,

His name was Simeon.

It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Messiah of the Lord.

Simeon blessed Mary and Joseph,

And said to Mary his mother,

Behold,

This child is destined for the fall and rise of many in Israel,

And to be a sign that will be contradicted,

And you yourself a sword will pierce,

So that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

Our Father,

Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

The fifth joyful mystery,

Finding Jesus in the temple.

After losing him,

Mary and Joseph find young Jesus teaching the rabbis in the temple.

The fruit of this mystery,

The joy in finding Jesus.

And when he was twelve years old,

They went up to Jerusalem according to festival custom.

After they had completed its days,

As they were returning,

The boy Jesus remained behind in Jerusalem,

But his parents did not know it.

After three days they found him in the temple,

Sitting in the midst of the teachers,

Listening to them and asking them questions,

And all who heard him were astounded at his understanding and his answers.

His mother said to him,

Son,

Why have you done this to us?

Your father and I have been looking for you with great anxiety.

And he said to them,

Why were you looking for me?

Did you not know that I must be in my father's house?

Our Father,

Who art in heaven,

Hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come,

Thy will be done,

On earth as it is in heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread,

And forgive us our trespasses,

As we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation,

But deliver us from evil.

Then,

And after this our exile,

Show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb,

O Clement,

O loving,

O sweet Virgin Mary,

Pray for us,

O Holy Mother of God,

That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Let us pray.

O God,

Whose only begotten Son,

By his life,

Death,

And resurrection,

Has purchased for us the reward of eternal life,

Grant we beseech thee that meditating upon these mysteries of the most holy rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary,

That we may imitate what they contain,

And obtain what they promise,
