
Self-Awareness Meditation
A guided practice to connect inwards with your physical body and your energetic body. A gentle journey through the energy centres and an invitation to feel into seven concepts: all is one, honour one another, honour oneself, love is divine power, spiritual karma, seek only the truth, live in the present moment.

Self-awareness meditation get comfortable wherever you're sitting cross-legged or sitting on a chair with your feet planted firmly on the floor make sure that your back is supported,
That you're sitting upright with your hands resting gently on your legs or the arms of your chair and take a few cleansing breaths to bring you into this moment breathing in through your nose and letting it out with a sigh and breathing in through your nose and letting it out with a sigh and breathing in through your nose and letting it out with a sigh and just gently letting your breathing find its natural rhythm bring your full attention to your breath noticing each breath in and out you may notice the sensation of the air coming through your nose travelling down into your lungs and then once again coming up and leaving in and out and gently bring your attention to whatever is going on outside the space that you're sitting in be aware of any sounds,
Any noises just allow yourself to be conscious of anything that's happening outside and then gently acknowledge it and then bring your attention back to your breath breathing in and out and now gently bringing your attention to the room that you're sitting in allowing yourself to notice any noise,
Any sounds any smells,
Any scents the temperature how you're feeling sitting there in this room and simply acknowledge all of those and then bring your attention back to your breath noticing the inhale and the exhale and now bring your attention to whatever it is that you're sitting on notice how it's supporting you notice how comfortable you are notice where you're touching whatever it is that you're sitting on which parts of your body are making contact and then gently bring your attention back to your breath breathing in and out in and out and now bring your attention to your physical body starting at the very tips of your toes and the soles of your feet you may wish to tense and relax different parts of your body or simply to bring your full awareness to each part of your body starting at the tips of your toes,
The soles of your feet and gently allowing your attention to come up across your foot the arch,
The top of your foot,
Into the ankle and coming up through your calves and shins continuing up through your knees,
The back of the knee,
The kneecap and as you're gently scanning your body in this way if you notice any tension,
Any discomfort or pain notice without judgement,
Simply bring your attention to that area be curious,
You may wish to name it or simply acknowledge that it's there if it helps,
Just simply tense and relax that part of your body to bring your attention and your awareness to it moving from your knees into your thighs up to the very top of your thighs,
To the groin,
The buttocks to the base of your spine and as we come here,
We meet the first base or the root chakra and we're going to continue our scan,
The physical and the energetic together so as you bring your attention now to the base of your spine connecting in with that root chakra,
You may see or sense or simply feel a colour,
The colour red just notice whatever comes up for you the depth,
The intensity,
The brightness of the colour and as you bring your attention and your focus to this base chakra and also to the lower part of your physical body know that the sacred truth inherent here is all is one and now gently bring your attention to your physical body once again to your hips,
Your pelvic area,
Your intestines your sexual organs focusing on that space between the lower abdomen and your tummy button and as you focus on the physical body,
Again noticing any sensations,
Any discomfort any pain and then gently bringing your attention to your energetic body this is your second or sacral chakra and you may sense or feel or notice a colour orange notice its intensity,
Its brightness,
Its depth,
Its shape and know that the sacred truth inherent here is honour one another now bring your attention to your physical body again to the area above your belly button,
Your stomach,
Your organs this is your solar plexus region again being aware of any tension,
Any pain,
Any discomfort and simply acknowledging it and now bringing your attention to your energetic body to your third or solar plexus chakra and you may sense or feel or see the colour yellow simply notice how it appears to you,
Its intensity,
Its brightness its shape,
Its size and know that the inherent truth here is honour oneself and now returning your attention to the physical body bring your attention to your hands and the tips of your fingers through the back of your hands,
The palm of your hands up to your elbow,
Up into your shoulders and at the same time coming up from the solar plexus through the diaphragm,
The lungs,
Your breasts and into your heart centre or heart space simply noticing as you go whether there's any tension,
Any pain,
Any discomfort and without judgement being aware of it and if you can,
Just letting it go and now bring your attention to the very centre of your chest bring your attention to your energy body once again this is the fourth or heart chakra and you may sense or feel or notice the colour green notice the depth,
The brightness,
The intensity of the colour the shape,
The size the sacred truth inherent here is love,
Is divine power and now bring your attention once again to your physical body to your neck,
Your thyroid,
Your throat,
Your mouth and your teeth notice any physical sensations notice if you're clenching your jaw simply being aware of any pain or discomfort and if you can,
Letting it go and now returning your attention to the energetic bringing your focus to your throat this is your fifth or throat chakra you may sense or feel or notice the colour blue simply notice its intensity,
Its brightness,
Its size,
Its shape and know that the sacred truth inherent here is spiritual karma and now let your attention come back to the physical come back to your face,
Your nose,
Your ears,
Your eyes at the back of your head and again noticing any tension,
Any pain,
Any discomfort noticing without judgement,
Just being aware and now focus your attention to the centre of your forehead your third eye or sixth chakra you may sense or feel or imagine the colour indigo again notice its intensity,
Its brightness,
The size,
The shape and acknowledge the sacred truth inherent here seek only the truth and now bringing your attention to the physical once again up to the top of your head,
Your brain and just noticing once again that part of your physical body connecting with that part of your physical body noticing if you're holding any tension,
Any discomfort,
Any pain in that area and now focusing your attention on the very top of your head on your seventh or crown chakra and now you may see or sense or feel the colour violet just notice its intensity,
Its depth,
Its brightness,
Its size,
Its shape and receive the sacred truth inherent here,
Live in the present moment and now imagine a beautiful ball of light sitting just above that crown chakra maybe white or golden and it slowly opens and that beautiful light pours down over your entire physical body,
Seeing yourself shimmering and glimmering by this beautiful light and now your crown chakra opens and this light pours through the very top of your head and as it does so,
It connects each of those energy centres the crown to the third eye,
To the throat coming into your heart the sacral,
The root and all the way down to the tips of your toes feel yourself filled with this beautiful light and when you're ready,
Gently bring your attention back into your heart space and breathe in and out of that space breathing in and out of your heart and then taking a deep breath in and letting it out with a sigh and when you're ready,
Open your eyes and simply take now a few moments to come back fully into your physical body you may wish to gently stamp your feet or rub your hands together be here,
Now,
Present and centred and you're now ready to continue with your day thank you,
