Welcome to day five of A Course in Miracles.
I really just want to thank you so much for being here.
This is a big commitment and I know that so many times we feel like you know we can't slow down even for five minutes to just listen to a message or sometimes just check in with ourselves.
We're doing things,
Doing things.
And what I know for myself is that it's so much more important for me to slow down and give myself this time of being in the moment.
Because this is the only time,
The only thing that we are actually guaranteed is the present moment here right now.
We are not guaranteed five minutes from now and yet the mind always wants to plan for the future,
For the future.
So I really invite us to be here,
To be in this practice.
I'm so grateful for you.
Ah,
Take a deep breath and out.
So today's exercise is called,
I am never upset for the reason that I think.
So this involves sitting with your mind throughout the day,
Slowing down,
And just seeing what feelings are there for you.
Is it fear,
Jealousy,
Anger,
Depression,
Anxiety,
Worry?
Whatever state of mind is there,
We'll apply it in this way.
I am not afraid of blank for the reason I think.
Make sure to use the actual emotion to call it out.
For example,
I am not afraid of being broke for the reason that I think.
I am not angry at my boss for the reason that I think.
I am not worried about for the reason I think.
I am not depressed about for the reason I think.
Go ahead and fill in your own emotional state that's happening about a specific situation.
It is important that you just allow what comes up to be there and you apply the principle to it without looking for something specific.
It's okay to do it maybe three to four times today.
And it can be really,
We can really have a desire to you know look for one specific thing because it feels more emotionally charged or to say okay you know this one thing I'm willing to apply it to but not the other because something in us doesn't want to see that or it feels too big or you know something that we may be feeling feels too small.
So I invite us to let these words that I'm about to say to sink into your consciousness deep.
There are no small upsets.
They are all equally upsetting to my peace of mind.
Again,
There are no small or big upsets.
They are all equally upsetting to my peace of mind.
We have said that peace is not outside of you.
It is an inner state despite whatever is going on in your physical realm,
In your world,
In your emotions.
Know that where you are,
All is perfect.
That the challenges are showing us the inner resistance that is happening and it is manifesting outside of us.
Just know that where you are,
You're learning,
You're growing,
You're expanding.
It is the way of the universe.
The universe is naturally expanding all the time and so are you in your consciousness.
I am so grateful for you for saying yes to this for being in conscious community here and now today.
I am never upset for the reason that I think.
