Hello and welcome to mindfulness with Ruby.
Before we begin this practice I would like for you to get comfortable in your current position.
You may lower your gaze or close your eyes,
Whichever works best for you.
I would like to invite you to take a gentle inhale in through the nose and as you gently exhale slowly let go of any expectations,
Stress,
Worries or anything that does not serve you well in this moment.
We are simply being open,
Curious,
Kind and patient.
On your next inhale I would like for you to visualize an enclosed flower in your heart space.
With every exhale that you take I would like for you to visualize this enclosed flower slowly opening,
Revealing its beautiful colours to you.
This colourful heart flower opening and blooming represents your love and compassion slowly expanding to reach your loved ones,
Those we find challenging to get on with,
Even those you do not know but also to yourself.
You may wish to repeat to yourself,
May I experience happiness,
May I experience love and may I experience peace.
May I experience happiness,
May I experience love and may I experience peace.
Take a moment to notice how you are feeling,
How it feels to send warm sincere wishes to yourself.
Notice any sensations within your body,
Emotions or even any thoughts that come to mind.
Just notice if this felt difficult for you,
That's ok,
Just take a kind moment to simply acknowledge this feeling.
When you are ready you can open your eyes and that will bring this practice to a close.
