The Just Like Me meditation reminds us that we are all interconnected and share the common thread of humanity.
Repeat these phrases silently in your mind,
Allowing each one to sink in deeply.
Just like me,
This person knows joy and sorrow.
Just like me,
This person has experienced love and heartbreak.
Just like me,
This person wants to be happy and free from suffering.
Just like me,
This person seeks understanding and connection.
Just like me,
This person has dreams,
Hopes and fears.
As you recite these phrases,
You may encounter resistance or emotions.
That's completely natural.
Embrace whatever arises with non-judgment and compassion.
Remember that we are all human and our experiences through difference connect us in the web of life.
Now let's direct these phrases towards ourselves.
Just like me,
