Welcome to this brief moment of stillness.

Let's take these next few minutes to calm and find inner peace.

Begin by finding a comfortable seated position.

Put your hands to rest gently on your lap or by your side.

Close your eyes if you feel comfortable doing so.

Take a deep nourishing breath in through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth releasing any tension.

Imagine a gentle wave of a realization starting from the top of your head slowly moving down to your toes.

With each breath this wave washes over you and bring calm and tranquility.

Now bring your attention to your breath.

Notice the rhythm,

The rise and fall of your chest or belly.

There is no need to changing it.

Just simply observe.

If thoughts begin to arise that's okay.

Imagine them as the leaves floating on a gentle stream.

They come into view and then they float away.

You are not the thoughts.

You are the observer.

Return your focus on your breath.

Inhale peace.

Exhale tension.

Inhale calm.

Exhale any restlessness.

Imagine a soft warm light enveloping you and this light is pure tranquility and it's melting away any remaining tension or worries.

As we come to the end of this meditation take a moment to thank yourself for dedicating this time to inner peace and calm.

Slowly deepen your breath inviting gentle movement back into your fingers and toes.

When you are ready open your eyes returning to the world around you but carrying this sense of calm with you.

Thank you for joining this meditation.

Remember you can always return to this space of calm no matter where you are or what's happening around you.
