This meditation is from our Mindfully Happy Morning series and here we are energising and nourishing the body.
We're bathing the body in appreciation for all it does for us as our vehicle in this life.
We're getting ready to face the day both relaxed and energised.
Breathing in this beautiful new day,
Bathing the body in some big deep belly breaths.
Opening and expanding.
Softening and nourishing.
By deepening the breath in this way we allow the body to be optimally oxygenised.
Doing so we are kind to our bodies and kind to our minds.
Refreshing and nourishing the body and the mind.
Opening and releasing.
Expanding our horizons.
Softening any resistance.
Opening to possibility,
Melting away any tension.
Opening and just letting go.
Tuning into the sensations of your body as you open and relax.
Drawing your next breath right down through your body to energise the very tips of your toes.
Inviting your new breath to energise the soles of the feet.
Noticing any tingling or any fizzing in the soles of your feet as you energise and nourish your feet.
Inviting new breath into the tops of the feet and ankles.
The calves and the shins now.
Noticing any warmth or coolness.
The texture of your skin.
Any sensation in the muscles or the bones.
Noticing the knees now and into the tops of the legs,
The thighs,
The buttocks,
The hips,
The pelvis and the pubic region.
The lower abdomen and the lower back.
Refreshed,
Relaxed,
Energised,
Refreshed.
The stomach,
The rib cage,
The mid back,
The shoulder blades,
The heart as it beats inside your chest.
Breathing into the heart.
Opening and expanding,
Refreshing and nourishing.
The tops of the shoulders and the tops of the arms.
The elbows,
The lower arms,
The tops of the hands,
The palms of the hands.
Inviting that new breath to energise the palms of the hands.
Noticing any tingling,
Any fizzing as you energise and nourish the palms of your hands.
Opening and expanding.
Taking this sensation into each of the fingers.
Each and every finger and into the tips of the fingers.
Allowing your breath to touch the very tips of the fingers.
Taking a few breaths,
A few moments in love and appreciation for your body and all that it does for you.
Our bodies are the vehicles in which we navigate this life.
By taking this time to meditate,
We recognise the union between our body and our mind.
We recognise that we are already whole.
We are already complete.
When we meditate we show our body and our mind love and kindness and respect.
Now with your next breath,
Filling your whole body from the top of your head to the tips of your fingers and toes.
Breathing into the whole body and bathing the whole body in this refreshing and nurturing breath.
Greeting this beautiful new day,
Relaxed and energised.
In your own time,
Opening the eyes.
