Sunshine healing.
Close your eyes.
You can do this meditation laying or sitting,
Whatever you prefer.
Take a moment to settle.
Feel the support of the ground beneath you,
Or the chair you are resting on,
And let your shoulders soften,
And let your breath slow down.
Now imagine that you are laying in an open field,
And above you stretches a vast blue sky,
And you look up,
And you notice some clouds.
Some are soft and light,
And others appear a little darker,
A little heavier,
And they slowly drift across the sky,
And those clouds are like your thoughts,
Just simply see them and pass by.
Some thoughts are gentle,
Passing easily,
Like white clouds,
They don't feel heavy and pass by quickly.
But other thoughts may feel more restless,
Anxious or heavy,
Like the darker clouds that come sometimes in your sky,
And those have the intention to stay a bit longer,
It can be worries,
Memories or fear,
Let them come and let them go.
Just notice each thought that arises,
You can label those thoughts as a light cloud or a darker cloud,
But nothing more than that,
Just simply watch them come and pass away.
Now watch and see how every thought,
Every cloud,
Begins to slowly fade,
The more transparent they become,
And then in the midst of all these clouds,
You begin to notice a soft glow on you,
It's the sun,
It was always there behind all those thoughts,
And watch as the sunshine begins to break through those clouds,
Feel the warm,
Gentle,
Radiant light touching your face,
Your forehead,
Your cheeks,
Your chest,
And feel the warmth it brings you,
Feel how the sunlight gently touches your skin,
And allow this light to come in,
Feel how the light moves through you,
Just as it is,
You don't have to do anything,
Just only receive.
Now imagine that your palms gently open,
Like a flower turning towards the sun,
Receiving the sunlight through your hands,
And let the warm flow in through your palms,
Up into your arms,
Into your shoulders,
And into your heart,
And from there gently spreading through your entire body,
And now be aware of any tension you may have,
Or heaviness you feel in your body,
And when you feel any tension,
Then let the sunlight move there,
Feel how the sunlight softens the area,
And feel how it makes you lighter,
Each time you notice a thought which is completely human,
Just look at it,
Like a cloud,
See how it becomes more transparent,
And slowly disappears,
Making space for once more this beautiful sunlight.
The sun is your awareness,
And your thoughts are only just passing clouds,
They are not who you are,
You are the ever-shining light in the present moment,
And feel the sunlight on your body once more,
Let it fill you from within,
A warm,
Healing current of peace,
Softness and clarity.
Now gently return your attention to your breath,
And feel how the breath moves through your body,
Sense that you are here,
In this space,
In this moment,
Take one last deep breath in,
And exhale softly out.
When you are ready,
Gently open your eyes,
And carry this inner light within you into your day.
