In this morning intention meditation, we welcome in the new day by first clearing our energy and then reflecting on an intention of the day. This is the perfect way to start the day in a calm, clear and grounded way.

Hi everyone and welcome to our morning intention meditation.

To begin,

Come to a comfortable seat.

Find length in the spine.

Relax the shoulders away from the ears.

Release any tension that you may be holding in the jaw and the brows.

And take a few slow deep breaths.

Inhaling through the nose and an audible exhale through an open mouth.

Take a few breaths like this at your own pace.

Take a few breaths.

This morning we are welcoming in a new day in front of us.

First we will clear away any energy we may be holding on to from the day before.

Envision each breath you take,

Clearing away the old energy you are holding on to.

Cleaning the slate so that you can open up to the fresh energy of today.

With each round of breath,

You may notice yourself feeling lighter.

As you continue breathing,

Focus on letting go and embracing this present moment.

Perhaps you would like to go with the flow as you move throughout your day,

Or show yourself grace and compassion,

Or even try something out of your comfort zone.

Take a few moments to reflect on your own meaningful intention for the day.

Here are a few final moments.

ExEx As we close our practice for today,

Feel a sense of gratitude,

Both for the energy you chose to release and the new energy you're welcoming in for the day through your intention.

Perhaps bring a slight smile to the corners of your lips and allow yourself a moment to appreciate the possibility of a new day in front of you.

Know that you can always come back to the intention you set for yourself today.

And on your next exhale,

Let the chin fall to the chest.

Take a few slow,

Deep breaths.

Thank yourself for this practice.

And when you're ready,

Begin bringing gentle movement into the body.

Rolling the head side to side,

Wiggling the fingertips.

Take as much time as you need to come back into the room.
