Leading Yourself

If you can’t lead yourself then what are the chances that you can lead others? Will they follow you?
The best leadership is leading by example. Not everybody needs to lead others but everyone should be able to lead themselves. Once you can do it, it will become easier to lead others if needed. In fact, people will rise you to a leader because of who you are. Leaders see something that others can not see. They can show direction where others can not.

I thought the analogy of the ship was so appropriate, made me think of getting the decks scrubbed this Spring! Sometimes it is windy and one has to let it take you, sometimes one has to adapt the sails to the calm waters. Thank you!
