If you can't lead yourself,

Then what are the chances that you can lead others?

Will they follow you?

The best leadership is leading by example.

Not everybody needs to lead others,

But everyone should be able to lead themselves.

Once you can do it,

It will become easier to lead others,

If needed.

In fact,

People will rise you to a leader because of who you are.

Leaders see something that others cannot see.

They can show direction where others cannot.

People will naturally follow you,

As life is full of uncertainty and problems,

And somebody who can show clear direction is of big value for humanity.

As such,

Leadership is an innate quality,

Because every moment of every day,

We're each called to be the leader of our own lives.

Let's meditate on how you can lead yourself.

In this meditation,

We are going to bring your attention on certain imagery,

Thoughts,

And questions for your contemplation.

As usual,

Find a comfortable space in the room.

Just settle in.

Drop yourself into the present moment.

Focus on the breath and how it rises and falls within you.

Use your breath to anchor yourself to the here and now in this moment.

You can notice the movement of your chest and belly.

Allow your eyes to close if you wish to.

Or keep them open with a soft,

Focused gaze and an object in front of you.

Let every exhalation relax your physical body.

In the beginning,

Your mind might look a little foggy,

And some thoughts may still distract you.

Just notice them.

Acknowledge thoughts and let them go,

Keeping your awareness on your breath.

Let it clean the fog.

Every breath like a wind that blows thoughts away and makes your mind cleaner.

And you start to sense some space in your body.

See how your breath takes control of your breath.

Let it clean the fog.

Every breath like a wind that blows thoughts away and makes your mind cleaner.

And you start to sense some space there,

Letting your breath go into your body.

See how your breath is connecting your mind and body.

It's like a glue that can put all the pieces together.

It all becomes a whole that is united by its foundation and towards a common vision.

You can also see it as a puzzle where all pieces come together to make a picture.

So just imagine this picture as a big and beautiful ship where everyone works and collaborates together to sail in one direction.

Gradually the borders of the puzzle disappear,

And it all becomes one solid and vivid picture.

Solid mind,

Solid body,

Solid spirit,

All connected together.

A picture of a big and beautiful ship and your inner captain standing on it.

Standing on the captain's bridge,

You feel on your skin fresh light wind coming from the sea.

The sea of opportunities.

If it's a bit hard to imagine,

You'll notice that the sea of opportunities is coming from the sea.

The sea of opportunities.

If it's a bit hard to imagine,

Then try to mentally say to yourself,

I am the captain of my ship.

I am the captain of my ship.

You can see vast territory around you and different possibilities of future destinations.

Try to sense the feeling of curiosity of what is out there.

The temptation to go further and further and explore other places.

You know every ship should have a clear direction.

It is useless just to float on the water.

See if you can define the direction for your ship to take.

It might be your goal that pulls your attention or your passion.

Finish this sentence in your mind.

I take the direction of.

The path there might not be easy.

Not every day will be sunny and the wind will not always blow your way.

At times it can get stormy and rebels inside your ship can provoke to change the course.

What would you use as your compass to guide your decisions?

Maybe your natural inner strength,

Genuine interests,

Core values,

Or strong beliefs in your vision of the future.

I will let you contemplate this thought and whenever your mind wanders somewhere else,

Bring it back to the object of your ship and compass.

To expand this thought a little bit,

You can imagine your thoughts,

Emotions,

And actions as members of your crew.

Some of them are your friends,

Some of them are your friends.

Some of them are your friends.

You can imagine your thoughts,

Emotions,

And actions as members of your crew.

Some of them can occasionally create feelings of discomfort and will prefer to stay away from your direction.

In such situations,

You discipline them,

Inspire them,

And encourage to work together to keep the course.

It might not be easy,

But I want you to imagine how you would handle it.

You may ask yourself,

What today will bring me closer to that destination or further away?

As we are going to end our meditation,

Seal in your mind that picture of a ship that represents you and the higher self as a captain that navigates it every day on your course.

You may sense fresh wind on your skin,

A feeling of clear direction,

And strong leadership inside yourself.

Now gently come back to your body and to the room you're in.

Allow your eyes to open.

Keep sailing and keep leading yourself.

It's your innate responsibility and let the boldness be with you.

Great self work practise. I love the statement being the Captain of my own Ship ⛵️. Will be returning to this regularly. Thank you again it’s just what I need to sail through the stormy seas of life! ⛈️

I thought the analogy of the ship was so appropriate, made me think of getting the decks scrubbed this Spring! Sometimes it is windy and one has to let it take you, sometimes one has to adapt the sails to the calm waters. Thank you!
