Before you jump into different meditations,

Let's create some context around it that will guide you along with the practice.

There are many ways to explain what meditation is.

I'd like to offer you the following explanation.

We can think of ourselves as a musical instrument.

It might be a guitar or a piano or any other instrument.

Every daily act is a sound of that instrument.

You cannot necessarily hear it or see its vibration,

But you can feel it's there.

I wonder,

How do you sound?

Are your strings in tune?

Do you know how to play a melody that will touch other people?

Can you handle this instrument properly?

Who is playing it?

Is it you or someone else?

Meditation helps us learn to be aware of the present moment,

Of ourselves in this moment,

And to tune our mind and body and work as one.

A musical instrument is just an extension of a great musician.

The same is true for your mind and body.

They simply complement each other.

Most problems happen from the lack of control of our mind.

As the Buddha said,

More than those who hate you,

More than all of your enemies,

An undisciplined mind does greater harm.

Once you can discipline your mind,

You can achieve great things.

There are some results from meditation that are immediate.

You immediately feel better,

More at ease,

After most practice sessions.

Other results come in a few months.

Yet don't worry about succeeding at it.

Just keep building it.

This is the practice.

Try less and be more,

Allowing your experience to unfold without fighting against it or wishing it was different.

The less you expect of your meditation practice,

The more benefits you will get.

Over time,

You will learn how to direct your mind to a certain area,

Like picking a certain string on the guitar and letting it sound.

In the beginning,

The sounds of your practice might be simple,

But over time,

You will start to play more complex pieces.

It all starts with a simple principle of directing your mind's attention to a particular area,

An area that feels important for you to practice.

Learn to be attentive and aware.

With practice,

It is very likely to happen that you will lose your current cluttered,

Distracted,

And weak mind and create a new one.

You will get a sense of mastery and control over your own experience,

Your own life.

In our guided meditations,

We focus on the themes that are the most important in this comfortable yet very dynamic and complex world.

So we wish you a great journey to find your true self and your boldness.

As a therapist I find that I’m often trying to “sell” meditation and it’s many benefits. I will use this to help inspire clients to begin practice. Thank you
