Let's talk about non-hatred.

It's really easy to love the people who are kind,

Thoughtful,

Aligned with our values.

But what about those who hurt us,

Or act with ignorance,

Or cruelty,

Or selfishness?

Yeah,

That's when things get harder.

And that's where this practice truly begins.

So,

Non-hatred doesn't mean condoning harm or staying silent.

It just means learning to see the difference between a person and their actions.

To recognize that even those who cause pain are still human.

They're flawed,

Maybe scared,

Maybe shaped by their own wounds.

So,

Let's start by pausing for a breath here,

Inhale,

And exhale.

It's okay to feel anger.

It's okay to draw boundaries.

But when we feel hatred,

Well,

It consumes us,

Not just them.

It's not just us,

But when we begin to soften,

Just a little bit,

We can reclaim a bit of our own peace.

So,

As you sit here breathing,

Just try to reflect on someone whose actions you can't accept.

And ask yourself,

Can I hold them accountable while also letting go of hatred?

Because as Dr.

Martin Luther King Jr.

Once said,

Hate cannot drive out hate.

Only love can do that.

And that's a reminder that love isn't passive.

It is the active choice to stay rooted in our own values,

Even when it's really hard.

So,

Today,

If someone pushes your limits,

Pause,

Breathe,

And remember that you can reject the action while still showing compassion for the soul behind it.

Thank you so much for joining me.
