Everyone reaches for change and recoils from it at the same time. Discover how you can move beyond your resistance to change and shift and lift your energy to get unstuck. Procrastination is a form of self-punishment. Learn to move forward and gain greater freedom. Change can be scary and you'll learn to take your power back with this gentle, yet powerful meditation. You can quickly change your life and accelerate your growth when you let go of your resistance to change.

Overcoming resistance to change,
Welcome.
Find a comfortable position and allow your eyes to close.
And behind the closed lids,
I invite you to take in a deep breath and then exhale easily,
Letting go,
As you focus on the sound of my voice,
Listening to the sound of my voice and use my voice as a way to relax.
For at this time in your life,
You are experiencing the need for change.
And with all change comes resistance,
For genuine change produces chaos.
And there's a part of us that resists the chaos of change.
And during this meditation,
You're going to move beyond your resistance so that you can allow change to flow more elegantly,
More easily into your life.
So let's continue to relax.
Begin to focus your mind on the muscles of your face.
Allow the tiny muscles of your face to completely relax,
To let go.
And as the muscles of your face relax,
Feel any tension around your scalp begin to lift and disappear.
Send a warm,
Relaxing thought to the muscles of your face and your scalp and allow the tension to loosen and to lift.
Feel the relaxation traveling through the muscles of your eyes and down into your jaw as the muscles of your jaw,
Your mouth,
Your tongue simultaneously relax and you go deeper.
It is the most wonderful feeling,
A beautiful feeling to let yourself relax.
Your body is resting in a comfortable position,
Either sitting up or lying down and you have begun the process,
The ritual of relaxation as the muscles of your face,
Your scalp,
And now down into your throat and neck begin to relax.
And remember that relaxation is your natural state of being.
As you let loose of the tension and the stress,
Your body knows how to relax.
And as you send warm,
Relaxing thoughts to the different areas of your body,
Your body responds quickly,
Returning to its natural state,
A state of total relaxation.
Your shoulders,
Loosen any tension in your shoulders.
Feel a warm,
Comfortable relaxation expanding in your shoulders and traveling down your arms,
Your biceps,
Triceps,
Begin to relax.
Your forearms,
Wrists,
And hands,
From your shoulders down to your fingertips,
Allow your arms to completely relax,
To completely let go and feel the flow of relaxation traveling from the shoulders and your neck down your spinal column as it slides down your spinal cord into the base of your spine.
And you might even imagine the light of relaxation,
A gentle glow,
A warm,
Yellow,
Golden glow of relaxation beginning to fill your spinal column,
Your spinal cord.
And you sense your spinal column glowing with a warm,
Comfortable light.
And this light is traveling,
Traveling through the nervous system into all the many nerve endings throughout your body,
Carrying with it this warm glow of light.
As you're breathing,
It's gentle,
Inhaling and exhaling,
Letting go.
Notice the rhythm of your breath.
Notice the rhythm of relaxation.
And as you breathe quietly,
Allowing the warm glow of relaxation to fill your entire nervous system,
Bathing every nerve ending in a golden light,
A soft,
Warm,
And quiet light,
You begin to relax and go even deeper in the muscles of your legs.
Begin to surrender to the pull and tug of gravity as you sense the weight of your legs growing heavier as you relax.
Your thighs,
Your knees,
Calves,
Ankles,
And feet completely relax.
And you feel the gentle weight of your legs getting heavier and heavier.
And your entire body surrenders under the weight of relaxation.
Notice the weight of your body,
Its position in the room,
And allow yourself to go even deeper.
And I'm going to count familiar numbers from five to one.
And at the count of one,
You will imagine that you are on a path,
An autumn path,
A path in the fall of the year,
An autumn path in a forest when the leaves are in the process of change.
Five.
Four.
Letting go.
Letting go.
Three.
That's it.
Going deeper now.
Two.
And one.
Imagine the crunch of leaves dried and dead underneath your feet.
As the leaves crunch and you walk upon a path,
A beautiful path lined by autumn trees,
Maples,
Beautiful maple trees,
Golden,
Red,
And orange.
As you walk upon a path in a beautiful,
Majestic forest during the time of change,
The air is cool and crisp,
And you can breathe in the autumn air filling your lungs with its refreshing,
Revitalizing energy.
As you open your mind to imagine the color of the sky,
A brilliant electric blue sky hovering above you in a vast,
Majestic canopy of blue,
Puffs of white cloud quietly,
Silently drift.
And the warm,
Golden light of the sun illuminated as it shines through the leaves of the trees,
And these trees capture the brilliant golden,
Orange,
And yellow,
And red of the leaves all around you.
And you sense these leaves of the trees as if the trees themselves were almost on fire with brilliant colors of yellow and orange and red.
And let your mind imagine the canopy of trees and the golden colors above you.
And you walk quietly,
Crunching along this path,
And the path is hard to see because of the leaves that have fallen covering the clearly marked path,
But yet you trudge along step after step,
Walking down this path between the tree trunks of this majestic forest.
Sometimes you feel a bit lost and confused,
And you give yourself permission to know that it's okay to feel lost,
Confused,
As you're in the process of making changes in your life.
But you keep stepping one more step forward,
Walking through this majestic forest,
Taking in the beauty all around you.
And there are so many beautiful trees surrounding you that are in the process of change.
Between the tree trunks,
You find your way,
And these trees help you to find a pathway This pathway is clearly making itself known as you journey one step at a time.
And as you journey,
You begin to think of the fears and the doubts that you have around the changes you need to make in your life.
Perhaps the fears of not being good enough seem to awaken from the past,
Or doubt,
Doubt that you have the talents or skills or the strengths to move forward in this change in your life.
Or perhaps the change is something that's already happened,
A change that you've already gone through and you're trying to cope and adjust with the changes demanded upon you,
Coming from out of the blue,
Mysterious changes that happen quickly and suddenly.
And now you're in the wake of cleaning up and catching up to the many changes happening in your life.
Whatever position you find yourself in,
Know that as you think of the change in your life,
That you are more than ready to handle these changes.
The change would happen only when you are at a place ready to move forward.
Though you may be afraid and feeling doubt or insecurity,
Know that you have deep within you the wherewithal,
The ability,
The capability of handling the change,
Even if the change has moved into a crisis.
A crisis in which the changes happen so fast you seem unable to cope,
Unable to handle your demands on a daily basis.
Even if you're there at a place that is called crisis,
I want you to open your heart and mind to begin to trust yourself,
To trust that you have strength dormant within you,
That you have power and ability ready to awaken,
To embrace the changes in your life,
That you are more than fully capable of handling any and all changes in your life.
And as you walk upon this path,
The leaves starting to clear and the path becoming more easily seen as you walk forward.
And as you walk up ahead in the clearing in this beautiful forest,
You'll notice a campfire burning bright in the clearing up ahead,
A beautiful campfire surrounded by stones containing the fire,
Protecting the forest.
And you step closer into the circle of its warm influence.
You sit upon an old tree stump,
A beautiful old tree stump cut down years ago,
Yet worn smooth and soft.
There's no splinters here,
No sharp edges.
You sit upon the tree stump next to the fire,
Warming yourself from the cool autumn air.
And you sit staring into the fire and you think about the change you would like to make.
And you begin to release your resistance to change.
You are filling the fire,
The warmth of the fire with your resistance and allowing the burning flames to spark and to spit and to rise and lick into the night as night quickly approaches,
As the fire quickly grows brighter.
As you send your resistance into the flames,
The fears,
The doubts,
The insecurities you might have into the fire,
Letting go.
And it's as if this fire is drawing out the resistance that you have towards change.
It is pulling it out of your energy field.
It is drawing it out of your aura,
Pulling the resistance,
Releasing the resistance,
Consuming them in the flame.
As you sense and feel yourself growing more sleepy,
Growing tired and beginning to drift next to this campfire,
Sense yourself drifting,
Going deeper.
As the fire consumes your resistance to change,
You drift,
You dream,
You relax.
You drift,
You dream,
You relax.
And as you relax,
Your subconscious mind is listening and will listen to the following suggestions helping you to navigate through change in your life,
Strengthening your resolve,
Providing you with the sense of peace,
Calm,
And relaxation as you move through the changes in your life.
Your subconscious mind is listening and will do all in its power to make the following statements true.
As you listen to the following statements,
Your subconscious mind will absorb and follow the instructions to help you overcome resistance to change,
To help you make trustworthy decisions.
I am able to change with ease and elegance.
I am able to change with ease and elegance.
It is easy for me to change.
It is easy for me to change.
I embrace change.
I embrace change.
I trust myself and I trust others as I move through these changes in my life.
I trust myself and I trust others as I move through these changes in my life.

Fear has no power over me any longer.

I take my power back from fear and resistance to change.
I now take my power back from any fear and any resistance to change.

And sometimes I'm prepared for the changes in my life and sometimes I'm not.
But I can love and support myself either way.
I value my future and I trust the process of the unknown.

I release my need to control and I allow myself to unfold and to flow with the harmony of my soul.
You hear the fire burning in the night.
The campfire that was burning bright before you drifted off to sleep is now grown larger.
It has grown much larger having absorbed your resistance to change.
It has grown so large that it is now a bonfire.
No longer a tiny campfire,
But a large bonfire,
Larger and taller than your body.
And you can feel the warm glow upon your physical body.
You begin to awaken to this beautiful bonfire,
Large and burning bright.
This wall of flame as you stand now,
Standing up from the tree trunk that you were sitting on,
Daydreaming and drifting.
It's as if you've awakened much more clear now.
And you stand facing this fire.
You think of the change you would like to experience in your life and how you would like that change to manifest in your reality.
And in other words,
Begin to imagine what your future self,
Who has already experienced the changes you desire,
Imagine what that future self would be like.
Take a moment to pause,
To see the future you,
Having overcome your resistance to change,
As strong and powerful,
Happy and alive,
Vibrant,
Overflowing with beauty and energy and excitement.
You sense the future you in your mind,
In your imagination.
And you stand facing this wall of fire,
This beautiful,
Brilliant golden fire.
And as you stare at the fire,
Something happens.
You watch the flames as the golden flames begin to change into a brilliant orange.
You sense the golden flames turning into a brilliant,
Vibrant orange,
A deep,
Rich orange.
And as you look into the orange flame,
You release your desire to change.
I am ready to change my life.
You release your desire.
And the orange flame receives your desire.
And as it receives your desire for change,
It begins to change again into a deep,
Rich red,
A garnet red,
A vibrant red fire standing before you.
And as you sense this brilliant,
Warm red fire before you,
You begin to let the fire pull the fear from your body.
And as if the red flames are drawing the fear out of your body,
Releasing and pulling the fear from your subconscious mind,
From your unconscious mind,
As the flame changes,
Now changes to a brilliant golden yellow.
And you feel the warmth of change in the pit of your stomach.
You let loose of any anxiety as this bonfire changes once again,
Quickly,
Rapidly from red to yellow.
And you feel yourself relax.
You feel yourself relax.
And they watch the flames burning before you.
You watch the fire crackle and spit.
You watch the flames licking into the sky.
As you feel the warmth on the front of your body and the coolness behind you,
Feel the coolness of the air towards your back,
And the warmth of the flames towards your front.
As you face the fire.
Now the fire changes.
Once again,
Watch it.
Imagine these yellow golden flames are changing into a brilliant,
Vibrant emerald green.
You sense the golden flames turning to green,
The green of abundance of prosperity.
And you sense your heart opening.
You sense your heart opening and filling with trust,
Trusting yourself and trusting others and feel the golden green flames.
Burning before you.
Let your mind be filled with trust from the green flames that burn bright.
And you let yourself feel the trust,
Trusting yourself,
Trusting your relationship to the future,
Trusting life.
Once again,
This fire of change is rapidly changing from green to blue,
Beautiful blue flames.
Imagine blue flames,
Cool blue flames,
The beautiful blue before you,
The entire bonfire now radiant with a beautiful blue as it expresses its power and strength.
And you feel your power and strength coming forward.
The power and strength that was lying dormant inside of you.
Now it's bringing it to the surface.
Sense your power and strength glowing and growing deep within you as the changes in your life,
Call upon your strength and power and you feel it vibrating and radiating within every cell of your body.
Every cell of your body is now filled with your power and strength.
And this beautiful blue flame quickly changes.
Once again,
As if by magic brilliant violet flame,
Watch it.
There's a magical violet flame standing before you large enough for you to step inside of,
And you're going to step inside of this violet flame.
It will not burn you for it is a mystical fire of passion and compassion.
It is a mystical fire of emotional mental energy that will fill you with the ability and willingness to make changes with ease and elegance in your life.
So you step forward now,
Stepping inside of this violet flame,
Feel it surrounding you as you are engulfed,
Consumed by the violet flames,
Consuming your resistance and filling you with strength.
Step and let go.
Feel the violet flames,
The immensity of power surrounding you,
Absorbing as you step inside,
As you step inside,
The flame is absorbed inside of your body.
You step to the other side,
Free from your resistance to change.
You are free,
Ready and open to receive guidance direction so that you can move more elegantly into the direction of change in your life.
And in a moment I'm going to count from one to five.
And at the count of five,
Taking in a deep breath,
Opening your eyes and coming back to full awareness,
To full awakening consciousness.
One,
Two,
Coming up slowly.
Three,
At the count of five,
A deep breath in,
Opening your eyes.
Four and five.
Take a deep breath in and welcome back.
