Welcome to this guided sleep meditation.

The purpose of this session is to help you release any remaining stress or tension from your day and gently guide you into a deep,

Restorative,

Beautiful sleep.

All you need to do is relax,

Follow the sound of my voice and allow yourself to drift deeper and deeper into a peaceful state of rest.

As you begin,

Find a comfortable position lying down and gently close your eyes.

Get into your ideal,

Comfy place and settle into the comfort of your bed,

Starting to let yourself relax,

Becoming more and more relaxed with each breath.

Each breath taking you a little bit deeper into that beautiful rest.

We will begin by centering the mind and bringing your attention fully to this present moment.

Start by taking a few gentle,

Deep,

Cleansing breaths.

Inhale deeply through your nose,

Feel your lungs expand,

Hold it for just a moment and slowly exhale through your mouth,

Letting go of any tension in your body.

Let's do this again,

Breathing in through the nose,

Hold for a moment and as you breathe out,

Noticing your body relaxing,

Sinking into the bed,

Feeling more and more calm and centered.

And as you breathe now,

Allow your attention to gently settle on this moment.

Notice how the breath moves through your body,

Noticing the rise and fall of your chest.

With each breath,

Slowly letting go of any tension in your body,

Feeling yourself becoming more centered,

More grounded,

Melting into peace and calm.

And now,

As you continue breathing,

You can gently release any thoughts from the day.

Imagine that with each exhale,

The stress or tension is being completely released.

Whatever happened,

You don't need to hold onto anything from the outside world.

This is the time just for you.

Focus only on your breath,

Releasing and noticing the sensation of relaxation that's beginning to wash over you with each breath,

Deeper and deeper.

You might find yourself yawning,

Just letting yourself drift slowly into that safe,

Calm,

Restful place.

As each breath takes you a little bit deeper and deeper.

And now,

We're going to guide your awareness through your whole body,

Helping you relax each area deeply as your mind becomes more relaxed.

As your breath allows you to melt and let go by bringing your attention to the top of your head,

The tip of your head,

Notice if there's any tension there and if you find any,

Just allow it to melt away with your next breath.

Letting your forehead soften,

Feeling the muscles around your eyes.

You can tense your eyes for a moment and then just relax and notice all the muscles in your face,

Your eyes become calm and relaxed.

Your whole head,

Your brain becomes soft and relaxed.

As you gently move your awareness to your neck and shoulders,

Notice any slight tension or tightness.

And as you breathe out,

Allow those muscles to soften and relax,

Softening and relaxing with each out breath.

As you feel your shoulders release any tension,

Noticing your shoulders becoming heavy,

Fully supported by the bed beneath you.

Softening and relaxing.

Let your awareness continue down your arms,

This wave of calmness through your hands and fingers.

Just noticing those muscles,

Tense them slightly and then feel any tension dissolve as you release and relax and exhale,

Melting,

Softening.

Your arms are growing heavier and more relaxed with each breath.

Bringing your attention to your chest and abdomen,

Your belly,

Just feel the gentle rise and fall of your breath.

Allow any tightness in your chest to soften,

Calming with each exhale,

Becoming completely at ease,

Safe,

Secure and relaxed.

Guiding your awareness down through your hips and legs,

Notice if there's any tension in your thighs,

Your knees,

Your calves.

And as you breathe out,

Just letting those areas become soft,

Loose and relaxed.

Melting,

Softening,

You're feeling that wave of complete calm washing through your whole being now.

All the way down to your feet and toes,

Letting them relax.

You can shift your body if you like to get even more relaxed as that wave of calmness gets stronger and deeper.

Feeling where you feel most relaxed right now and letting that relaxation feeling fill your whole body and your mind.

At this moment,

Your entire body is fully,

Completely relaxed and your breath is slow and steady.

You are safe,

Supported and deeply calm,

Drifting into that beautiful peace of deep sleep.

Now that your body is completely relaxed,

We'll use a little visualisation to deepen your sense of calm and completely release any remaining stress from your mind and body so you can drift into the deepest,

Most beautiful rest.

Imagine you're calmly standing or sitting at the edge of a peaceful forest at sunset.

The air is cool,

The soft golden light filters through the trees,

Through the leaves.

You begin to walk along a path that leads into this beautiful forest,

Feeling the soft earth beneath your feet.

With every step you feel more and more at ease,

Leaving behind the noise and stress of the outside world.

As you walk,

You notice a gentle stream running alongside the path,

Glistening in the lights,

The sound of the water is soothing and you feel a deep sense of calm as you listen to this bubbling stream.

Each step takes you further into the peacefulness of the forest,

The trees are tall and majestic,

Rising up into the sky,

Stable,

Beautiful and you feel completely safe and at peace here in this sacred place.

As you walk,

You come to a small clearing where the sun is setting on the horizon,

You can see the mountains in the distance as the sun casts a warm glow over everything,

The golden light.

The beautiful golden light fills your whole being,

There's a soft blanket laid out on the grass with a pillow and you lie down feeling the earth beneath you,

Supporting you.

You look up at the sky,

The golden glow gently filling with stars,

The eternal endless light,

This vast universe and you feel a sense of wonder and calmness washing over your whole being.

As you lie here in this safe,

Beautiful place,

Cosy and relaxed,

Every breath releases tension,

The ground beneath you is absorbing any lingering stress or worries,

Everything is pulled out leaving you feeling lighter,

More peaceful,

Completely relaxing with each breath.

You are deeply relaxed,

Your body and mind in perfect harmony with the tranquility of this perfect forest,

Connected to the whole universe and beyond,

All is well.

Each breath melting even further into that wonderful peace and sleep.

Now that you are in a deeply relaxed space,

We will introduce some positive suggestions to help your mind and body prepare for a deep restful sleep.

As you continue to breathe slowly and deeply,

Repeat to yourself either silently in your mind or out loud,

I am relaxed,

I am calm,

I am ready and open for a deep restful sleep,

I am peace,

I am originally a peaceful being and I am ready for a beautiful restful sleep.

Just feeling lighter and lighter,

As you breathe out,

Letting go,

Feeling lighter and more and more relaxed,

I release all stress and tension from my entire body,

I release all tension from my mind,

I become completely relaxed,

I am open to deep sleep,

Deeper and deeper with each breath,

I trust my body and mind to rest and rejuvenate as I let go with each breath,

As you drift into sleep we count down and with each number you will feel yourself sinking deeper into relaxation and sleep,

10 your body is heavy and completely relaxed,

9 your mind is calm and quiet,

Deeper and deeper in the sleep and rest as you breathe,

8 your sinking deeper into the comfort of your bed,

7 sleep is coming easily and naturally,

You feel completely at peace,

6 completely relaxed,

5 your breath is slow and steady,

4 your mind and body are fully ready for rest,

Letting go,

2 melting away,

1 letting go,

Letting go,

As we keep the breath taking each moment deeper and deeper,

And 1 as if you are flying up and away,

You are just beautiful light shining relaxed as you let go of the body and world and float into that beautiful place of total calmness and silence,

Listening to the voice and relaxing into that golden peace,

Imagine yourself in a world of golden light,

Just like you are floating in a beautiful golden sunset,

Where you are completely calm and content,

Totally safe and secure,

Just floating in this infinite light,

The most wonderful peace washes over your whole being,

Far away from everything,

Just contentment and silence,

Floating in that beautiful light,

Each breath taking you deeper and deeper,

Whatever you notice just takes you deeper into the peace,

Everything now points the way to total relaxation in each breath and each moment,

Coming back to the natural feeling of peace and calm that is always here,

That is who you are,

A precious beautiful light of peace,

Floating into that peace and calm,

Melting and relaxing in the light,

All is well,

All is good,

Everything is working out perfectly so you can completely relax,

Right now and let go,

As you continue to breathe slowly and deeply,

Repeat to yourself,

Either silently in your mind or out loud,
