On a morning just like any other,

You're awakened by the light of the new sun creeping in through the window,

Casting beautiful rays of light through the blinds.

You take a few moments to adjust,

Blinking slowly as the world around you comes into focus.

You stretch deeply,

Wiggling your fingers and toes,

Signaling to your body that you are awake,

Grounded,

And present.

There's a slight chill in the air on this particular morning,

A subtle shift that feels both new yet familiar,

The type of chill that's so crisp you could take a bite out of it.

And instantly thoughts of hot cocoa,

Cozy sweaters,

And pumpkin spice everything fill your head.

You linger a little longer in bed,

All cuddled up in the cocoon of blankets and pillows that you must have certainly built for yourself in the middle of the night.

Your eyes remain closed as the rays of the morning sun bathe you in warmth and shine on your forehead,

Feeling like a gentle kiss from above.

This is what bliss feels like.

A smile spreads across your face from ear to ear,

And you can't help but feel the immense gratitude rise within you,

Filling your heart with peace and love.

You savor the stillness of this sacred moment as you lay cuddled up for a few more moments,

Enjoying the simple beauty of waking up cradled in comfort.

Then you do one last stretch,

And decide it's probably time to get up.

So you do that thing where you start to slowly inch one leg out from under the blanket,

Then the other,

And you take one last deep breath in,

And you courageously pull the covers off,

And you finally sit up.

And now that the hard part is done,

You just swing both your legs over the corner of the bed,

Let your feet dangle over the floor for a moment,

Then hop up.

Now that you're on your feet,

The first thing on your mind is obviously coffee.

But just as you turn to leave the room,

Something catches your eye and you pause,

And you're suddenly drawn towards the window by the soft glow of the morning light.

Like a moth to the flame,

You almost glide towards the window,

Stopping just before reaching the glass.

You find yourself standing there for a moment,

Almost in a trance,

As you look out the window and let yourself marvel at this beautiful,

Almost perfect sunrise.

Swirls of magenta and purple mix with the many shades of blue,

From the warm honey hues to the deep,

Mysterious tones that mirror our vast,

Deep oceans.

Even the clouds seem to be glowing with their rings of golden highlights shining through from the sun's rays.

This sunrise is absolutely gorgeous.

And while every sunrise holds its beauty,

Today feels different.

This one feels special.

It's as if the sun,

The sky,

And the clouds all conspire together overnight,

Crafting this radiant display just for you.

It's a comforting thought,

And it's one that you like so much,

You decide to believe it.

For today,

For this morning,

This sunrise was made just for you.

In the distance,

You hear the faint call of geese.

You decide to stay a while longer to watch them soar across the sky.

Coffee can wait.

You open the window to get a better view,

And the instant you do,

A cool breeze sweeps through,

Carrying with it the beautiful scent of autumn.

Outside,

The leaves rustle,

And inside,

Papers flutter and bags shift,

Joining the wind in this dance.

You watch as all the soft and flowy things in your room sway and twirl.

If there were ever a moment to welcome fall,

This is it.

Fall has officially arrived.

Just then,

You hear the geese draw near,

Their calls growing louder.

You sip closer to the window,

Just in time for another gust of wind to send the yellow and brown leaves swirling through the air.

For a brief,

Magical moment,

It's just you and the dancing leaves swaying together in harmony.

As you turn your head,

You're greeted by the sight of the geese flying in perfect V-formation.

You can't help but wave as they pass,

Calling out to them with a grin.

Have a great day,

Geese!

Thanks for stopping by,

Geese!

Enjoy this lovely weather,

Geese!

Happy fall!

And as their wings flap in unison together through the air,

It's almost as if they're waving right back at you.

And with that,

You slip on your cozy robe,

Slide your feet into your soft,

Furry slippers,

And head down to the kitchen to brew that perfect cup of hot coffee.
