Hi everyone,
This is Megan Capor and you are listening to the mental practice meditation for health and healing.
I'm going to take you through this guided meditation.
So if you could get somewhere comfortable that you can either sit or lie down where you won't be disturbed.
I'm going to start by asking you to close your eyes and we're going to get into a relaxed state.
I'm going to have you take three deep breaths.
One.
Feeling more relaxed.
Two.
Feeling your whole body sink down and become heavy.
And three.
Now do the best you can not to control your breathing but just to observe it.
I like to think of it as sort of observing my body being breathed by whatever animating force there is that takes care of that kind of thing.
And just feel what it's like to be breathed for a few seconds.
Now I want you in your mind's eye to visualize yourself somewhere amazing.
It could be a tropical paradise or maybe you're in the woods taking a walk.
Maybe you're just hanging out with your favorite people laughing and having a good time.
It doesn't really matter where,
Just somewhere where you feel really really good.
Now I want you to in your mind's eye look around at the scene you've created.
What do you see?
I want you to pay attention even to the little details that you see.
The colors of things,
What people are wearing,
Or if you're by yourself look down and see what you're wearing,
What shoes are you wearing.
And now in this visualization pay attention to what you hear.
If you're in nature what sounds do you hear?
If you're imagining yourself with other people what are they saying or what can you hear?
As you listen do you hear more sounds,
Maybe some that were too quiet at first?
What do you feel on your skin?
Are you sitting somewhere?
Do you feel the contact of your body with a chair or a log or the beach?
What's the temperature?
Is there a breeze?
Just pay attention for a minute to what you feel.
And now notice if you can smell anything.
If you're at the beach you may smell the ocean.
If you are at a cafe with friends you may smell coffee.
Just notice if there's a scent to where you are.
Now just spend a few minutes in that scene really noticing everything you can with all of your senses.
Now with this same awareness I want you to envision the health issue or symptom that you want to improve.
And in the same way envision it with as much detail as you can.
If it's a body part like an organ or joint see that part of you in as much detail as you can like you have a full color x-ray machine in your mind.
If it's a body system like your immune system if you're working on allergies or cardiovascular system imagine if you're able to scan yourself from head to toe.
And imagine what that system is doing in all parts of your body.
Get a really clear visualization.
If this is hard for you to do then it might be beneficial before you do this meditation next time to just Google some images of what that body part or system looks like.
That can definitely help you visualize it a little bit better.
Now that you have a clear image of what that body part looks like you see how it's moving you see how it's interacting with the area around it.
I want you to see if you can zoom in and see what the illness or dysfunction looks like in that body part.
So for example if you had gallstones see if you can zoom inside your gallbladder and see what the stones look like.
There's no right or wrong way to do this.
Whatever happens to pop into your mind's eye is the right thing.
So just trust that.
Now I want you to see your body repairing this area.
Our body has the ability to repair any illness.
We have the mechanisms to repair anything that's going wrong.
And so just know deep down that your body has this ability and ask it to show you how it would repair this area or repair this system.
Take all the time you need to see this area from going from its current state of disease to one of perfect vibrant happy health.
Ask your body to show you all the steps you need to get from here to there.
And again there's no right or wrong way to do this.
You may see something that makes a lot of sense logically like your immune system coming in to help or new tissue being grown.
But you may also be shown something that seems a little silly like new trees growing or a light coming in and healing everything.
A lot of times when we're doing these visualizations your body will speak in metaphors.
And so the light may be a type of energy or it may be a spirit guide coming in.
Again there's no right or wrong don't try to control or judge.
Just accept that when you ask your body how do I heal this area it's showing you the perfect way to heal it today.
And if you're doing this meditation repeatedly you may see different things every time or you may see the same thing every time.
And again there's no right or wrong answer every way is good.
So just take a moment and continue to see how your body is going to repair this area or fix this disease.
And send a lot of gratitude to your body for being able to repair this and also for showing you the way that it's done.
You can just feel your heart getting warm and open and feel that loving energy from your heart being sent to whatever body part or system it is that you're working on today.
And when you get to the point where you see that body part has healed.
Or maybe you just see it getting better.
In any event sort of zoom out a little bit and see how the rest of your body feels about that.
See the rest of your body celebrating the healing that's happening.
And see every other part of your body every cell every organ every tissue just doing whatever it can to help assist with the healing.
And now we're going to take another good deep breath.
Within all the goodness of the air the oxygen the energy of air the healing properties we're going to take a deep breath in and then release anything we don't need.
And just sit in the knowing for a minute that your body has the ability to heal anything.
We are built to heal we are built to return to a state of health.
And when you're ready you can open your eyes.
Give your body a little shake.
And a little more gratitude again to your body for showing you this deep wisdom of what you need to do to heal.
And that's it.

It's most effective if you can do this for 30 days in a row.
Your body benefits from repeated visualizations and it will start to actually do what it is you're visualizing as you do this more and more.
So it's pretty miraculous and amazing and I've seen some people get some pretty fantastic results from this.
