Have you ever wanted to connect with your own spirit guides? In this guided meditation, you'll meet your own spirit guide "board of directors" and have a conversation with them about any challenges, questions or issues you'd like to know more about from a spiritual perspective.

Welcome,

This is Megan Caper.

I am so glad that you're here joining me to this guided meditation to meet your personal spirit guide board of directors.

Please take a moment to turn off your phone and make sure that you've gotten any interruptions set aside and that the people around you know to give you about 15 or 20 minutes without interruption.

And please pause this meditation to do those things now if you need to.

And then find a comfortable spot,

Maybe a cozy chair or the sofa or you can recline in bed and we'll begin.

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths,

Breathing in and out and slowing down.

Relax your body and bring your attention to the area right around your eyes and relax those little muscles around your eyes.

Feel your eyes sink into your head.

Release your jaw.

Let your cheeks feel heavy.

Just observe your breath as you inhale and exhale.

And imagine that your body is a body of water,

A calm lake.

So as you take a breath in and then release it out,

Imagine that it's like a soft current in that body of water and let each of your exhalations carry some tension away.

And again with your next breath,

Let any tension or stress just float away.

Bring your attention to your feet and notice if you're carrying any tightness or stress in your feet and if so,

Just soften there.

Let a feeling of soft heaviness come into your feet and then move your attention to your calves and your shins and relax that area,

Sending some breath there to loosen it up.

Now soften around your knees,

Breathing in and out and relaxing more deeply.

Move your attention upward to your quads and your upper legs.

Let any tension that you're holding there seep away,

Floating away as you breathe.

And then as you take your next inhalation,

Imagine your breath moving into your hips and your pelvic area.

Let your breath open that whole area up.

As you exhale,

Let any stress and tension melt away.

And now let your belly fully release,

Maybe even let out a sigh to relax your torso and your chest.

And move your attention to your upper back and your shoulders and let any tension melt right off and down your back.

Now release your upper arms,

Any tension melting away,

Your lower arms and your hands and soften your neck,

Your jaw and your tongue.

And now relax your brow,

Let go of any tension that you're holding there.

Now I want you to imagine in your mind's eye that you're standing at one end of a long hallway.

There are many doors along that hall,

But you focus clearly on the door at the very end of the hall.

You see the color,

The size,

The shape and the material it's made of.

You're going to slowly start to walk towards that door,

Taking 10 intentional steps to get there,

3,

2,

1.

And you find yourself in front of the door and you reach out and you turn the handle on the door.

You open the door to find that it leads to a meadow,

A meadow on a beautiful spring day.

You walk through the door and you find yourself in this gorgeous meadow.

Just for a moment stop and listen,

What sounds do you hear?

What's the weather like?

Take a look around and notice what plants and animals are there.

Is there anything else there?

Is there water,

A lake or a river?

Just take a moment and turn around and take it all in.

And then notice if there are any smells there.

Take a deep breath in and smell those amazing smells.

And then start to walk through the meadow.

And you notice a big tree with an inviting shady spot just beneath it.

And there's a blanket and some cushions set up in that spot.

And as you walk closer you notice that there's a group of friendly looking people under the tree as well.

These people are laughing and chatting.

And as soon as they see you they leap up excitedly to greet you and bring you to your comfy spot under the tree.

As you get closer you may start to recognize some of these people.

Some of them could be fictional characters.

They could be friends or family that have passed over.

They could be ancient gods or archetypes or maybe modern religious figures.

There may be some that you don't immediately recognize as well and that's fine too.

You can sense that these are your personal spirit guides.

Your spiritual board of directors.

This is the group of beings that has decided that they want to help you.

They're all here to help you in any way they can as you walk your soul's journey in this lifetime.

They invite you to sit down on the blanket with them and when you do they fawn and dote on you.

And you can tell they're so happy to see you and have you here.

So sit for a moment and enjoy the warmth and support you feel from this group of guides.

You may talk to them or laugh or you may just sit and feel the sense of safety and support of being in their presence.

And now I want you to tell them about a goal or a dream that you have.

I want you to tell them about it in detail and then I want you to tell them why it's so meaningful or important to you.

And then once you finish telling them about this goal or dream I want you to ask for any guidance they may have.

This answer may come in words or it could be a feeling or a facial expression or some images.

Just sit there and listen to what they have to say.

Some good questions to ask if you don't know where what to ask is where do I start or what things should I focus on to reach my goal or are there any pieces of information I should know in order to reach my dream or goal.

But you can ask them anything you want and this is a conversation so if they say something and you have a question feel free to follow up and ask.

And once you've heard what they have to say I want you to imagine giving the energy of the how and the when that this goal will happen the details of it over to them.

You can imagine handing them a ball of energy or a box or a picture whatever it is that works.

I want you to see them take it and excitedly start to plan out exactly how and when this will unfold.

They seem giddy with the opportunity to help you with this dream or goal.

And then feel the release of responsibility from your body and your soul as you realize that you don't have to figure any of these details out.

All you have to do is sit with the delight of what it will feel like when you get to your goal and continue taking steps in that direction and your spirit guides will take care of the details.

Bring your visit to a close knowing you can come back and visit and ask them questions anytime you want.

Thank you guides for their wisdom and the guidance they've given you today.

And then stand up and walk back through the meadow until you see the door you came through before.

Walk through the door and into the hallway.

And then we're going to walk back down that hallway the same way that we came 10 intentional steps.

Feel yourself come back to your body.

When you're ready wiggle your toes and fingers stretch your arms and legs out a little bit and open your eyes.
