This meditation is an invitation to experience the light of your deepest being. We use the mantra "I am. I am breathing. I am light" as a way to anchor into that experience and connect it to our living, breathing presence in the moment.

Welcome to this meditation on the radiance of your inner being.

Start by finding a comfortable seated position where you can breathe freely and relax.

Take a few deep cleansing breaths,

Feeling the expanding and condensing of your lungs as you draw life force into your body and release any tension.

Notice your thoughts,

Notice the sensations of your body,

The feeling of being embodied.

Notice any sensations in your mind.

Notice the experience of being you,

Your personality.

You're held together by a collection of beliefs,

Preferences,

Ideas,

Sensations,

Concepts,

Likes and dislikes,

Judgments.

Notice all of this,

This conglomeration that you experience as you.

And see if you can penetrate beyond,

See if you can step out of the framework of you and into the wilderness,

The unknown space beyond concepts.

Don't worry about stopping your thoughts or forcing your personality to disappear.

All that is fine as it is.

But there's something deeper that's you.

Who is it that's observing all of this?

Can you see or feel a light that shines?

A light that,

Like a spotlight,

Observes,

Illuminates everything around it.

If you turn that spotlight on the sensations of your body,

Then it illuminates them.

If you turn the spotlight on your thoughts,

It illuminates them.

Whatever you look upon is lit up.

That light,

That self-luminous radiance is you.

At the deepest layer of your being,

Who you are,

The light,

The deepest layer of your being,

Who you are,

The light that you are,

Effortlessly shines.

It is not defined by thoughts or beliefs.

It's not defined by preferences.

It is undefinable because it is eternal and infinite.

Can you allow that radiance to fill your embodied self,

Your physical body,

Your mind,

Your belief system?

Can you allow that radiance,

Self-luminous,

To fill all aspects of your being?

Can that self-luminous radiance begin to dissolve some of the hard edges of divisive thoughts,

Judgments,

Cravings,

Aversions?

Can that radiance soften your self-judgments?

You don't need to become anything.

You don't need to win at anything.

You are this radiance.

Your nature is light.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

Light is truth.

Truth of being.

Truth of existence.

Truth that has no opposite.

The fundamental,

Underlying reality of all being.

Everything that you experience yourself to be evolves from that fundamental reality.

It is supported by that reality.

It is embraced by that reality.

This is what is meant by the wholeness of your being.

All parts of you are contained in a unifying,

All-embracing whole that is inextricably interwoven into the unifying,

All-embracing wholeness of the entire cosmos.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

If you like,

You can repeat to yourself the mantra,

I am.

The mantra,

I am,

Reminds you of your true nature.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

You are this radiance.

You can add to that mantra,

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

In time,

In space,

Embodied.

I am here.

I am breathing.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am breathing.

I am light.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

I am here.

In time,

Gradually allow your eyes to open,

But stay with this mantra,

I am.

I am here.

I am breathing.

As you look around,

Take in the objects around you,

The space that you're in.

You're still here.

You're still breathing.

This doesn't change,

No matter what you do throughout your day.

You are here.

You are breathing.

May your day be blessed.

Thank you for joining me for this meditation.
