Snippets of Wisdom There is no time like the present.
How are you doing with staying in the present moment?
Do you give your full attention to your now experience?
Or does your mind wander to the future,
So you miss this now?
Since I was a child and into my teens,
I remember enjoying a moment with friends,
Always feeling like I wanted it to hurry up and get over so I could experience the next.
I was always pushing forward and looking for the next better experience,
But I was missing out on the joy of being in that current now experience.
By always looking forward to something new,
I couldn't really enjoy where I was and what fun I was having.
My childhood best friend remembers details of our adventures from the ages of 8 and 9 years old,
And I can't even recall the events!
I missed them because I wanted to rush ahead to the next adventure.
We are now 64 and 65,
And she still remembers details I don't.
I want to get better at enjoying the present moments as they come.
I want to be at peace with where I am.
I want to relax.
So here's a little ditty I wrote from a Bashar quote to remind myself to stay present.
Relax.
There is no time like the present.
There is no rush.
No need to hurry.
Match the frequency of the present.
Enjoy the now.
Trust the speed of the current and go with the flow of now.
You see,
With my rushing ahead energetically,
I was not matching the frequency of the present.
I didn't fully allow myself to enjoy the experience.
It was a much more bumpy ride.
I was always fighting the current by going upstream.
I thought what I wanted was upstream.
Now I know that the current flows downstream toward my desires.
All the pleasurable moments are downstream,
Going with the flow of the present moment.
Once I relax and slow down,
Enjoy this now,
I don't need to worry that the next now won't come.
This now always flows into the next,
So I no longer need to feel like rushing about.
I can take my time to experience all the pleasures of each moment as they unfold,
And that feels so much better.
Can you feel the energetic difference too?
Remember,
There's no time like the present.
Let's allow ourselves to relax and soak up every enjoyable moment.
Big hugs,
Marianne
