Hello and welcome to this guided meditation designed to help you release money blocks.
I'm so glad that you're here.
This meditation is the first of a three-part series on first healing your relationship with money,
And then calling in more money,
Abundance,
And funding.
Today we're doing something simple and also something really brave.
You're going to take an honest look at the money blocks you've been carrying,
The fears,
The wounds,
The old stories,
And together we're going to start to let some of them go.
Here's the premise we're working from.
You cannot call in something you are afraid of.
If money feels unsafe,
Shameful,
Or like something you have to fight for.
That fear is going to keep showing up in the relationship to money no matter how hard you work.
So before we can invite in more abundance,
We have to be willing to look at what's actually in the way.
Please know that this work won't be complete after one time doing this meditation.
For many of us,
This is the work of a lifetime.
But we can begin to take at least one meaningful step on that journey today.
The way I think of it is,
Let's not ask too much of any one time practicing this meditation,
But look for a compound effect from returning to it over the course of time.
This meditation isn't about fixing yourself because there isn't anything wrong with you.
This is about noticing what you've been carrying and giving yourself permission to put some of it down.
Find a comfortable position,
Seated or laying down,
Wherever you are right now.
Let your eyes close or soften your gaze toward the floor.
Let's begin by simply arriving in the body.
Take a breath in through the nose.
Let it out slow through the mouth.
One more breath,
Like that.
In through the nose.
Out through the mouth,
Letting the shoulders drop a little each time you exhale.
Now let your breath settle into its own natural rhythm.
There's nothing to control here.
Just notice the breath moving on its own.
The way it's been doing since the moment you arrived into the world.
Without your help,
Without any intervention.
Just the intelligence of the body that's always been on your side.
Go ahead and feel where the body is supported right now.
The chair beneath you,
Or the floor,
Or the couch.
Let that surface hold more of your weight than you usually let it.
Take a breath in,
And on the exhale,
Give way to the pull of gravity below the body.
See if you can release any remaining engagement in the body now.
There's nothing that you have to do in this moment except for breathe and listen.
Let's take a deep round of breath.
And now I want you to bring to mind your relationship with money.
Not the numbers in a bank account,
Not the spreadsheets or anything else you associate with it,
But the feeling.
When you think about money,
What's the first sensation that shows up in your body?
Even when you hear me say the word money,
What do you notice?
Take a moment to notice and feel.
Maybe it's a tightness somewhere.
Maybe there's a heaviness or a type of bracing,
Like you're getting bad news.
Maybe it's numbness,
A place where you've gone quiet because it's easier not to feel anything at all.
It's important to know that an absence of feeling,
What we describe as numbness,
Is a feeling in and of itself.
It is also a choice that your body is making to express what you feel toward the concept of money.
There's no right answer here.
Just notice what's true for you right now in this moment.
There could be a mixture of negative and positive feelings.
So while this practice focuses on releasing what we feel ready to let go,
It's totally valid and beautiful if you uncover some positive emotions and sensations around money.
Now let's hone in on one specific feeling here that you may be wanting to release.
And this feeling didn't come from nowhere.
Somewhere along the way,
You learned something about money.
Maybe you learned that it was scarce?
Maybe you learned it was dangerous to want it or dangerous to talk about it.
Maybe you watched someone you love struggle with it,
And some part of you decided that struggle was just what money is.
Whatever you learned,
You learned it for a reason.
It likely kept you safe once and it made sense once.
But you get to ask now gently,
Is this still true?
Is this still serving you?
Or is this an old block asking to be released?
Let's find where this block lives in you physically.
Scan slowly through the body.
Your jaw.
Your throat.
Your chest.
Your stomach Your hips.
Where does the feeling around money set?
Where do you feel it most right now?
And once you locate it,
Just rest your attention there.
You don't need to fix it or change it or even fully understand it.
Be with it.
The way you'd sit with a friend who's upset without rushing them to feel better.
Notice the quality of it.
Is it tight?
Heavy?
Perhaps hollow?
Does it have a temperature?
Does it have emotion or sensation?
If you were to give it a color,
What color would it be?
Notice this block.
This is what's been quietly running in the background.
Every time you've made a decision about money.
Every time you've undercharged,
Overspent,
Avoided looking at your accounts,
Or felt a flash of guilt for wanting more.
This block has been trying to protect you,
Even now,
Even here.
Know that it's not your enemy.
It's an old protector part,
Still on guard,
Still doing the job it took on a long time ago.
Now we're going to breathe directly into that place Your breath is one of the most helpful and cleansing tools when it comes to your emotions and finding freedom in your being.
Take a breath in,
And as you inhale,
Send the breath right to where you feel this block in your body.
Hold it there for just a moment.
And as you exhale,
Do so through the mouth and let the breath carry a little bit of that heaviness out with it.
You don't have to release all of it.
Even 10% is enough for right now.
Breathe in again fully into that same place.
And exhale,
Long and slow,
Imagining the breath moving through that tension like crystal clear water,
Rushing and moving through,
Softening the edges just slightly.
And we'll stay here for one minute,
Allowing you to slowly fill up with the breath.
Sending it to this cluster of feelings in the body and exhaling to let them go breath by breath.
Taking a deep breath in.
Holding for a moment.
Long,
Slow exhales to release.
As you keep breathing,
I want you to silently offer this old block a few words.
You can repeat them after me.
In your mind or simply let them land.
I see you.
I feel you.
You have my full attention.
I understand your job has been to keep me safe.
But I don't need you to carry this for me anymore.
Breathe in.
And exhale,
Letting your shoulders drop,
Letting your jaw unclench,
Letting the body soften wherever it's able to soften in this moment.
If there's any other thoughts that you have that you want to say out loud as though you're speaking directly to this block,
To this part of the body,
You can do so now.
You do not have to carry this feeling into the future you are building.
You are allowed to let an old story end here.
Taking a big breath in,
Holding gently at the top.
And a long,
Slow exhale out,
Letting the exhale soothe you.
Now with whatever space you've created.
I want you to imagine just for a moment what it would feel like to be at ease with money.
Not flashy or extravagant all of a sudden,
Just at ease.
Imagine checking your bank account and feeling calm instead of worried.
Imagine naming your worth out loud and feeling steady instead of guilty.
Imagine receiving money,
A payment,
A gift,
An opportunity,
And simply saying thank you without the old need to deflect it or wonder if you deserve it.
This ease is not something you have to force into existence.
It's something you make room for by releasing what's been crowding it out.
You are allowed to have a peaceful relationship with money.
You are allowed to receive without guilt.
You are allowed to want more and to feel calm while you build it.
Take one more full breath in.
And let it out slowly all the way out.
Before you open your eyes,
I want you to know that this is just the beginning.
We don't release a lifetime of conditioning in 10 minutes,
And you don't need to.
What you've done just now is real.
You looked honestly at something you usually look away from and you let a little bit of it go.
That's the work and that's how it starts.
When you're ready,
Come back to this practice or try one of the other practices available in this channel.
Feeling a sense of gratitude here for listening to yourself.
For feeling into your body and noticing what's present here.
So many people don't choose to do this work.
Go ahead and take one more deep,
Long,
Cleansing inhale out.
And exhale.
When you're ready,
Gently wiggle your fingers and your toes Take a breath that feels a little bigger.
And in your own time.
Let your eyes open.
Welcome back.
