Welcome!
This is a morning ritual meditation to help you set a helpful intention for your day and to really decide how you want this day to go.
This is a one-of-a-kind day,
No other day like today.
There never was one like it and there never will be one just like it ever again.
It's a completely unique and perfect moment in time and I want to welcome you to making this choice of starting your day in this way.
You've said yes to a new way of relating to your inner world.
Allow yourself to start to settle into a posture that feels good and supportive this morning and just give yourself a moment to arrive there.
Just letting yourself,
I made it here to my morning,
To my breath,
To a new beginning.
Letting this space,
This meditation be a space to land,
To soften,
To listen inward and most importantly to meet the quiet wisdom that lives inside of you.
Maybe there's still things that you're carrying with you from your sleep,
The dream world,
Any memories you have of what you dreamed about last night.
Just taking a moment to pause there,
Acknowledge it and allowing yourself to fully arrive into this morning now.
Let this meditation be your gentle anchor for the day that lies ahead.
This is a moment to pause,
To connect and to set a clear intention for how you want to move through your life today.
Let your spine rise tall.
Feel the crown of your head lift gently toward the ceiling as your shoulders melt away from your ears.
If you haven't already,
Let your eyes close and take a slow breath in through your nose and a long soft exhale out through your mouth.
Breath by breath,
Letting these breaths feel nourishing,
Letting the breath feel good.
A big inhale and a full exhale.
And with the next exhale that you let go,
Releasing any tension,
Any static,
Any leftover energy from yesterday or from last night.
And taking a cleansing deep breath in and a slow breath out.
And now just let your breath find its natural rhythm.
Steady,
Easy,
No need to force anything specific to happen.
And feel yourself here.
Feel the weight of your body.
Notice any places where you're still holding on without needing to fix anything.
Just notice that and know you can let it go with an exhale,
The next one that comes.
And let awareness drop gently into the body,
Feeling your face soften and your jaw release,
Your shoulders heavy and your hands resting gently wherever they land.
Now go ahead and bring one hand to your heart and one hand to your belly.
And feeling the body with your sense of touch,
Feeling warmth,
And feeling your breath gently rising and falling beneath your palms.
Just notice this is you.
This is you alive,
Breathing exactly as you are.
And breath by breath,
As the body comes into more presence and the mind into more stillness,
You can begin to gently ask inward,
How do I want to feel today?
It's as though you're knocking on an internal door,
The door of your intuition,
Of your inner knowing,
And asking of yourself,
How do I want to feel today?
How do I want to show up for myself,
For others,
For this life I'm living?
One of my favorite questions to ask,
Especially in the morning,
Is what's important to me right now?
Gently listening,
What is important to me right now,
At this moment,
At this stage in my life?
What's important to me today?
Going beyond how I want to show up,
How is it important for me to show up today?
What do I get to do?
Who do I get to be?
And don't rush any of these answers.
Let them come as they usually do,
Almost as a whisper or a sensation,
Maybe a feeling in your chest or your gut.
There's no wrong way to do this.
Just gently knocking on the door of your intuition and considering,
How do I want to feel today?
What's important to me?
Perhaps you feel called to be more present today or to feel more open-hearted,
Confident,
Creative,
Playful,
Peaceful.
Let whatever arises be just right for you.
And as you gently land on that feeling,
Maybe there's one feeling that stands out the most,
That one way that you want to feel,
That you want to show up today,
Gently turning that feeling into an intention.
Softly repeating it in your mind.
You can phrase it as,
Today I choose to.
You can finish that sentence from within.
Today I choose to be.
Today I choose.
Allowing yourself to surface all of those qualities that are important for you to be,
To feel,
To experience.
Perhaps making a small or big commitment to yourself for what today gets to be,
What you get to create.
And breathe these moments and these statements in.
Let them root in your heart.
Let them shape the energy of your day.
What would it look like to breathe right now in a way that invites in that feeling already into this present moment?
How does that confident you,
That grounded you,
The peaceful you,
Breathe?
Can you breathe that way right now before anything else happens?
You might say to yourself with each breath,
I inhale,
I arrive.
I exhale,
I allow.
I inhale,
I receive.
I exhale,
I release.
And with these statements,
Let your body feel alive from the inside out.
Bring attention to your whole body.
Notice any energy here,
Any buzzing.
Notice where you feel the breath or any sensations or feelings.
And bring your attention to your lower body,
Your legs,
Your hips,
Your belly,
Your chest,
Your heart,
Your hands,
Your face,
Your head.
Allow energy to slowly move through you like a current.
It's brought into the body with your breath.
You don't need to understand it or rationalize it.
Just let yourself feel it.
I am here.
I am grounded.
I am open.
I trust the unfolding of this day.
The way this day goes is perfect for me.
Now that you have that intention,
That you have that clarity,
Sealing that in with a breath,
Bringing it into mind,
Bringing it into your heart.
Taking a big intentional breath and softening on the exhale out.
Bringing some gentle movement.
Notice what movement would feel good this morning.
Giving yourself some nourishing stretches.
Thinking about what would feel like a nourishing way to start the day.
A big glass of water.
Maybe going for a walk outside.
Thinking about what are some ways that you can be loving towards yourself today.
Bringing some gentle motion into your body.
Maybe stretching your arms up and overhead.
Feeling yourself coming back into your space,
Into your body,
Into the moment.
When you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
Notice how you feel.
Notice what's shifted even slightly.
Let your intention move with you today.
Let it live in the way that you walk,
The way you speak,
The way you breathe and connect with others.
Remember that you can return to this grounded moment at any time.
It's always here.
Your breath is always here and so are you.
Thank you for beginning your day with presence and care.
May it unfold exactly the way that you need.
