The energy medicine yoga wake-up routine.
This routine is designed to get all of your energy flowing,
Moving,
And guided to move in the most optimum way for your health and well-being.
You can do this technique seated or standing.
It should only take you five to ten minutes,
But go at your own pace slow or fast.
You can do this any time of day,
But take note if you do this before bed and have trouble falling asleep after,
Then only do this during daylight.
I personally can do this routine before bed and have no issues,
But I believe every person is different,
So stay in tune with your body and notice how it makes you feel.
Go ahead into a seated or standing position.
Close your eyes and take a deep breath in through your nose and exhale out your mouth.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth.
Take another deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth.
Start to feel your feet rooted into the earth,
Wiggling your toes,
Becoming aware of the rich nutrient soil beneath your feet.
Imagining all the minerals in the soil climbing up the bottoms of your feet into every cell of your body,
Nourishing you,
Giving you all that you need.
Take a deep breath in through your nose and out your mouth.
We'll start with the four thumps.
So take your fingertips into little beaks and place them right below your collarbones.
Start to tap or massage,
Breathing in through your nose out your mouth the whole time.
Starting to wake up kidney energy,
Turning on the power button,
Taking big breaths in through your nose and out your mouth.
Imagining you're like Tarzan as you bump your chest,
Tap or massage.
Release one hand down,
Take the other hand to the center of your sternum,
Start to tap.
Giving a boost to your immune system,
Taking big breaths in through your nose and out your mouth.
This is great to do if you have any colds or flus.
And take both hands back to your beaks and then you're gonna place them right below your armpits.
Start to tap or massage,
Taking big breaths in through your nose and out your mouth.
Tapping on spleen point.
Spleen is your nourisher,
Your caretaker of all the other meridians in your body.
It governs your blood supply,
Your metabolism,
Digestion of thoughts,
Food and conversations.
And go right below the breast,
Tap or massage.
Breathing in through your nose,
Out your mouth.
If any areas are sore,
Just lighten up on your pressure.
Right below the breast,
You're working your lymphatics,
Moving your lymph.
And this is great to do for ladies who wear wire bras.
Always after you are done wearing your wire bra,
You always want to massage right below the breast to release any stuck clogged energy.
Go ahead and shake out your hands,
Just dust them off.
And bring your fingertips right to your cheekbones on your face.
Start to tap.
Breathing in through your nose,
Out your mouth.
Start to close your eyes or have a soft gaze and become aware of your feet.
Feeling a grounded sensation between you and the earth.
Feeling supported.
You have everything you need.
Release your hands,
Just flick your fingers and place your hands right on top of your thighs.
Close your eyes.
Take a big breath in through your nose and out your mouth.
One more time.
Big breath in through your nose and out your mouth.
Noticing any tingling in your body,
Any sensations at all.
Slowly start to open up your eyes.
We're just going to march here in place.
So tapping the same hand to the same knee only about four times,
Just gathering up your energy.
Go ahead and dust your hands off and this time we're going to do opposite hand to opposite knee crossover.
And we're going to do this about double to triple the amount we did the homolateral march.
So about 20 times.
Just crossing over making sure your arm goes over the midline of your body.
Imagining you have this rainbow of energy in the center of your body that you're crossing over to the opposite knee.
You're guiding your energy to cross over.
So the right side of your brain controls the left side of your body and vice versa.
So we want our energy to cross over all the time.
This is great to do if you're learning new information or if you're studying for a test.
This will really help integrate all new information coming into you on a daily basis.
Couple more.
Big breaths in through your nose and out your mouth.
Go ahead and shake off your hands.
Rest your legs down.
Let's take both hands over your pubic bone.
Getting ready to zip up an affirmation for your day,
Whatever that is for you.
Taking a big breath in through your nose.
Smoothing your hands up the center line of your body.
Flipping your hands at the top lip and exhale your arms out to the sides.
We'll do that two more times.
Taking your hands over your pubic bone.
Zipping up your affirmation.
Breathing in,
Smoothing the hands up over your torso,
Chest.
Exhale,
Flip your hands over your lip and then out to the sides.
Last one.
Breathing in.
Bringing in the affirmation to your body and then out to your aura,
Letting it expand out into the world.
Take one middle finger to your belly button,
One middle finger to your third eye.
We're going to hook up this energy here.
All the energy you just shifted in your body,
We're going to seal it in with the hookup.
So pressing into both your third eye and belly button.
Breathing in and then exhale.
We're going to pull up on both.
Two more times.
This is excellent for grounding your nervous system.
This is also a great technique for having seizures.
If you know of anyone who has seizures,
You can use this technique on them.
One more time.
Pressing in,
Breathe in.
Exhale,
Pull up on both.
Go ahead and release your hands down to your sides.
Have a soft gaze in your eyes and become aware of your body.
Doing a body scan.
Soften your face and take note of how you feel.
