Welcome to this Christian yoga flow.
To step into the journey.
To receive the presence of God.
Join me in an upright seated position.
Allow your hands to relax wherever they fall.
Closing down the eyes.
And relaxing into your breath.
Settling into the place and the space that you're in.
I know it sometimes can be hard to quiet down the mind.
And to connect deeply into the breath.
I am here to guide you.
So take your left hand on your heart.
And the right hand over your left.
Take a deep inhale.
And exhale everything out of the mouth.
Deep inhale again.
And exhale everything out of the mouth.
One more time,
Deep inhale through the mouth.
Nope,
Through the nose.
And exhale out of the mouth.
Just pause and be as you are.
And as you already witnessed,
My brain sometimes goes faster.
Than I am in the present moment.
Just as I said,
Inhale through the mouth,
I was already at exhale out of the mouth.
We're all having a human experience that we're spiritual beings.
So in this practice,
We're going to open our hearts to receive.
The joy of the journey into the heart of God.
When you're ready,
Join me in hero's pose.
So we're going to be seated on our heels.
We're going to bring the hands together in prayer pose.
Eyes can be open or closed as you inhale the hands down,
Around,
And up.
And I want you to move with your breath.
As I share something with you,
Again,
The eyes could be open or closed.
And just imagine as you're.
.
.
Going through this posture.
You're opening your heart to receive the joy of the presence of God.
And if it feels comfortable for you to put a smile on your face,
Do that now.
And then continue at your own pace,
Making this a moving meditation.
Take one more.
Round,
Mindfully,
Purposefully.
And when the hands come back to heart center,
Just pause there a moment.
It's in this stillness.
And the quiet.
That we can step into the heart.
Of the presence of God.
When you're ready.
Come into cat-cow by moving through tabletop.
And when you're ready.
Gently move into your Cat-Cow.
And as you're moving into your Cat-Cow,
I just want to share another thought with you.
In this posture,
Imagine yourself softening your heart.
To receive and step into the presence of God.
Moving mindfully.
In this practice as we slow down and soften the body.
Quiet the mind.
And we open the heart.
When you're ready.
Bring this spine to neutral in your tabletop.
Pausing there a moment.
And then very gently sit back into child's pose.
And as you surrender into your child's pose,
Literally surrender.
Anything that is of a worry,
A heartache,
Stress,
Surrender it all to God.
On your next inhale,
Gently move back into tabletop.
Pausing there a moment.
We want to slow down so we can soften the body,
Quiet the mind,
And open the heart.
And when you're ready.
Step your right foot in between both hands.
And inhale the arms high up to the sky.
What feels right for you?
Is it leaving the arms up like this or is it making these big circles?
Listening to your body intuition.
As you focus on opening the heart.
To receive the joy.
In the journey.
Of the presence of God.
Make this a mindful movement.
On your next inhale,
When and if you're ready,
Bring both hands down on either side of the right foot.
Pausing there a moment.
You'll want to stay in this mindful movement.
And then gently coming through tabletop again.
Make any micro movements.
Maybe it's a little wag of the tail.
You might even feel as though you want to go into downward dog or even child's pose.
I trust you to honor your body intuition.
Your spirit,
Your heart center,
Your body knows what you need.
Honor it.
So that you can receive.
The joy,
The peace,
And the grace.
And when you're ready,
Not necessarily on my words,
But when you're ready,
Step the left foot in between both hands.
Gently inhaling the hands high up to the sky.
And maybe The left side is going to be different than the right,
Or maybe you will do the same.
Movement or non-movement on the left side as you did on the right.
Go deep into the breath.
As you open the heart.
To receive the joy.
In the journey.
And stepping into God's presence.
And when you're ready,
Bring both hands down on either side of the left foot.
Pausing there a moment.
Pausing to honor,
What do you feel?
In the mind,
The body,
And the spirit.
What is the connection?
What are the thoughts?
And then gently move through back into tabletop.
And from here,
What.
.
.
Will work best for you right now.
Child's pose or downward dog.
Honor your body intuition.
Moving into what serves you.
With a gentle,
Long,
Deep breathing.
And on your exhales,
Exhaling out of the mouth.
To let go,
To surrender.
Surrendering your will.
To receive His will,
His grace,
His mercy.
On the next inhale,
Take wherever you are,
The right foot in between both hands,
Moving mindfully and purposefully into warrior two.
And in your warrior two focusing on feeling.
The strength of God,
And receiving the courage.
That you need from God.
Allow the breath to take you deeper.
Now inhale,
Straighten the front leg and inhale the arms high up to the sky.
And then exhale,
Opening over towards the left.
Into warrior two on the left side or the opposite side depending on which side you started on.
Long,
Deep breathing.
Filling yourself up.
With God's courage,
His strength.
So you can stand strong.
And whatever challenges.
You're in,
You're facing,
Or even the challenges for others.
Inhale back to center.
And bring the hands down in prayer pose in front of the heart.
Heel-toe the feet together.
And come to the front of your mat.
Hands are in prayer pose in front of the heart.
And inhale the hands down,
Around,
And up.
Bring the hands to touch.
And the hands down in prayer pose in front of the heart.
Make this a moving meditation as you're opening the heart,
The mind.
And the body to receive the joy.
In the journey.
Just step into God's presence.
And then the next time the hands come in front of the heart.
Bow forward.
Into this forward fold.
Allow your fingertips to touch the ground.
Or take hold of the elbows,
Whatever serves you.
Surrendering anything you're carrying.
To God.
Surrendering it over.
Laying it down.
And giving it to him.
Take a deep inhale.
And exhale,
Sigh it all out of the mouth.
And then bend the knees,
Squatting down.
Coming down onto your mat very mindfully so that you don't get dizzy or wobbly.
And come onto your seat.
Extending your legs out in front of you.
Anchor the sit bones into the earth beneath you.
Flex the toes high up to the sky and bring your hands down around and up.
Exhale,
Fold forward,
And as you fold forward,
Fall into this stretch.
And as you stay here in this seated forward fold.
Asking God to help you to listen to his voice.
To hear his voice.
Take a deep inhale.
Exhale out of the mouth.
And tuck your chin into your chest,
Rolling up one vertebrae at a time with the intention to come down onto the mat.
Into Shavasana.
To take a moment.
To feel physically.
To feel emotionally.
And to feel mentally.
The shift in energy.
From the beginning of the practice.
And staying here for a moment,
I'm going to release you into silence.
So that you can receive the presence of God and just honor whatever you experience.
Relax into it right now.
Yeah.
If you desire to stay in Shavasana,
Please do.
I'm going to come to an upright seated position to read you a couple things.
And if you desire to meet me in an upright seated position,
Mindfully move into that now.
I base the practice today on one of the scripture readings,
Psalm 105.
And a couple things I want to read to you about the scripture.
First of all,
The scripture is,
Give praise to the Lord,
Proclaim his name,
Make known among the nations what he has done.
Psalm 105.
It invites us into a journey.
Not a physical journey,
Like a moving of location,
But into the heart of God.
The verse begins with worship.
Give thanks and praise to the Lord.
Before we do anything for God,
We are called to behold Him.
Praise lifts our eyes from our circumstances and fixes them on His faithfulness and goodness.
When we proclaim His name,
Worship is not meant to be.
Remain silent.
And that's part of the reason I made the choice to start teaching this.
I wish and want and desire to change the circumstances of the world and also loved ones.
But I can't.
I'm not God.
But what I can do is,
Through prayer and meditation,
To be as.
Open to receive the Spirit of God so that I can be a light.
Then in hope that my light becomes a ripple effect.
And through that.
Hoping that my actions.
Will affect others.
Push them to want to.
Turn towards their faith.
In God and believing in the big picture that this can help with peace in the world as well.
So,
Continuing.
The verse then moves deeper.
Proclaim his name.
Worship is not meant to be.
Remain silent.
As we speak his name,
We remember who he is,
The covenant,
Keeping God who acts and history rescues his people,
Provides for their needs,
And reveals himself to those who seek him.
So again,
To close.
The scripture is,
Give praise to the Lord,
Proclaim his name,
Make known among the nations what he has done.
Thank you God for the countless ways.
You've given faith today.
And then this is a little prayer I want to close with.
In every corner of the world,
May the name of God be praised.
Father,
We ask that every people in every place may experience an authentic encounter with your son,
The Lord Jesus Christ,
By the power and presence of the Holy Spirit.
In Jesus's name we pray.
Amen.
Thank you.
I thank you with all my heart for being willing.
To take the time for this gentle yoga flow,
This Christian gentle yoga flow to open your heart to receive the joy and the journey.
In the presence of God.
I wish you all the blessings that your heart desires and may God watch you in yours.
And may the rest of your day be filled with blessings of peace.
Of light.
And of love and joy.
