Gently close your eyes.
Bring your right hand on your heart,
Your left hand on your belly.
Lord,
I offer this time to you.
Quiet my mind,
Soften my heart,
And help me move with your peace and presence.
May this practice be an act of gratitude for the body you have given me.
Amen.
Bring the hands together in prayer pose again.
Lift your hands high up to the sky,
Sweeping the air around you as you bring your fingertips down to the earth.
Doing this with your breath and movement two more times,
Allowing God's peace to fill your heart.
Moving gently.
Moving mindfully.
Bringing the right hand to the earth beneath you and the left arm up and over,
Stretching towards the right.
Relaxing into the breath,
Coming to center again.
Stretching open towards the left.
Come back to center.
And over towards the right again.
Inhaling deeply and exhaling,
Bringing God's peace deep within.
And over towards the left.
Coming back to center,
Very mindfully,
Slowly.
Twisting open towards the right.
Lord,
Help me create space for your presence in every part of my life,
Coming back to center and twisting open towards the left.
And again,
Lord,
Help me do this one more time on each side to create space.
For your presence in every part of my life.
Inhaling back to center after you finish the second side.
Folding forward.
Stretching.
The hands,
The arms.
The back,
The neck,
The shoulders.
Lord,
I release control and I trust your guidance.
Walk the hands back.
And gently move into tabletop.
Take a couple cat-cows at your own pace.
Releasing any control,
And trusting the Lord's guidance.
Curl the toes under.
Come into downward dog.
Stretch out the legs.
The back,
The neck,
The shoulders.
I trust in the Lord with all my heart.
Breathing deeply.
And exhaling anything that doesn't serve you.
Lifting the right leg high up to the sky and coming into a lunge on the right side inhaling the hands up to the knees.
Opening the heart and the chest.
Bringing the left hand down to the earth.
As you open the right arm high up to the sky twisting open towards the right Long deep breathing.
Bring both hands back down to the earth.
And sit back into a hamstring stretch.
Breathe into this expansion.
Come back through that lunge.
And gently move the right leg into pigeon pose.
Folding forward,
Moving mindfully and purposefully.
Let go of any anxiety.
Surrender it all.
To God.
Let it all go.
Completely release and let go.
Gently come up,
Rolling over onto the right hip and crossing the left foot over the right knee.
Take hold of the left knee and inhale the right arm high up to the sky.
Anchor the right elbow across the left knee,
Twisting open towards the left.
God,
Please help me release anything that's holding me back to receiving your peace and your grace.
Come back to center and twisting a counter twist over towards the right.
Come back to center.
Release the pose,
Coming back through tabletop.
Make any micro movements.
Preparing for downward dog again.
Deep inhale and exhale.
Inhale the left leg high up to the sky.
Bring it forward into a lunge on the left side.
Inhale the hands.
Expanding open the chest and the heart.
And bring the hands down on either side of the left leg,
Opening the twist to the left with the right hand planted in the earth in the left arm high up to the sky.
Bring both hands down to the earth and sitting back into a hamstring stretch.
The Lord is my strength and my shield.
My heart trusts in him.
Release the pose.
Gently coming into pigeon pose.
Moving mindfully,
Surrendering.
Surrendering to receive.
I trust in your care,
Lord.
Relax into the breath.
Coming up,
Releasing the pigeon pose,
Crossing the right leg over.
The left knee,
Preparing for the twist.
Take hold of the knee and inhale the left arm high up to the sky.
Anchor the left elbow across the knee,
Twisting open towards the right.
Deep inhale and exhale.
Coming to center and then counter twist over towards the left.
Staying deep.
Within the connection of the breath.
Staying mindful,
And then coming to center again.
Releasing the pose,
Coming to an upright seated position.
Folding forward.
Surrendering.
Surrendering to receive.
Help me to release,
Dear God,
Anything holding me back from receiving your peace.
Walk the hands back,
Coming to a straight spine,
Upright seated position.
And then take the head and gently move it from side to side and in no motion.
Saying no to whatever is in the way.
Your connection.
To your prayer.
To God.
To your faith.
And then bringing the head up and down in a yes motion.
Saying yes to receiving his peace and his grace.
Bring the right hand on top of the heart,
The left hand on the belly.
Lord,
Thank you for this time of stillness and renewal.
Please help me carry your peace and strength with me through the rest of my day.
And may my thoughts and words and actions reflect your love as I bring my hands in prayer pose.
