Good morning friends,
Welcome to this new day.
The intention of this meditation is to ease you peacefully into your day,
Surrendered to gratitude and surrounded by space for breath.
Adjust your body in any way you need.
Feel free to stay lying down if you're already there or gently move your body into an upright position if you're feeling ready to move.
In whatever way you adjust your bones most comfortably,
Assure you can access your fullest deepest breaths.
Allow your entire body to settle.
Feel your muscles and skin soften and spread.
Release any tension held in your jaw.
Soften expressions and lines on your face,
Allowing the mouth space to easily expand and feeling your throat at ease.
Move those sensations of softening into the shoulders,
Down into your belly.
Spread softening sensation through your hips,
Your pelvis and allow those softening sensations to cascade all the way down both arms and both legs.
Pull your awareness into the palms of your hands and the soles of your feet.
As you take your next gentle breath out,
Release any tension held in hands and feet.
Feel your entire body soften,
Your whole body soft and receptive in this moment.
From this place of ease in your physical body,
Allow your awareness to float towards the rhythm of your breath.
Begin to notice the gentle way your body breathes.
Observe the body's easy expansion with your inhale and notice the soft surrender with its exhale.
Breath in,
Body expands.
Breath out,
Body surrenders.
Stay in the expansiveness of your breathing for a few moments,
Fully connecting to the steady rhythm of your own sweet breath.
In this quiet moment of soft breath and surrendered body,
Feel a gentle pulsation of gratitude begin to stir in your heart.
The pulsation may start small but notice its stirrings and keep your awareness rested on how gratitude feels as it takes up more room in your heart space.
Feel a sense of gratitude for the strength in your body,
For the steadiness of your breath and for the love in all its various forms that surrounds you in every moment of your day.
Allow those initial stirrings of gratitude to grow,
Letting them grow until they begin to radiate out of your heart space and into the rest of your body.
Allow your deep steady breaths to flood that sensation of gratitude into each and every cell.
30 trillion cells that comprise your body,
All pulsating with gratitude,
All flooded with thankfulness.
Enjoy a few moments of your morning in this space of breath and gratitude,
Noticing the sensations of calmness that accompany these deep breaths and thankful thoughts.
As we begin to move from our meditation into our day,
Ask your body and your heart to carry the sensations of peace and calm you've cultivated.
Carrying this calm into all the situations this new day will bring.
Know that this peace and calm are yours,
That they reside deep inside each cell and each beat of your heart.
These feelings of peace are available to you anytime you need and can be found with just a few deep breaths and a few moments to pause and be thankful for your many blessings.
Listening to your body,
Begin to gently move any parts of your body that are ready to move as you easily bring your body back to life.
Invite a deep breath in through your nose,
Then open the mouth and take a big sigh to release.
Take a few more of those deep cleansing breaths.

The more peace we're able to cultivate within ourselves,
The more peace we have to share with the world around us.
