Settle into the practice of yoga nidra.

Invite your shavasana to embody the qualities of fallen snow.

Fallen snow.

Feel into its stillness.

Its quiet.

Its gentle weight.

Feel how it rests in a balanced way upon the landscape where it settles.

Embody the qualities of fallen snow.

Allow this stillness,

This quiet,

This balance to sink you deep into an internal state of rest.

Feel your senses withdraw from external influence and fall deep inside yourself.

As presence moves inward,

Feel into your subtle body of breath.

Allow your breath to embody the same qualities.

Stillness.

Quiet.

Balance.

Feel into the texture and richness of your own breath.

As you sink deeper into the body of your breath,

Feel the weight of your bones release more deeply into earth below.

Stillness.

Quiet.

Balance.

Awareness drops deeper into the presence of your own beating heart.

Feeling into that space.

Observing what's present.

Feel deeply into the space of your own beating heart.

Invite now the contemplative qualities of snowfall to surround your heart.

Bringing into that space of heart a stillness,

A quiet,

A balance.

As those contemplative qualities rest upon the space of heart,

Begin to listen more deeply.

Feel into what's present.

What's moving through you.

What's yearning for greater attention and care.

What does your heart need right now?

Invite that yearning of your heart to arise in I AM form.

Allowing this desire to settle as your sankalpa for this practice.

As your sankalpa arises,

Allow your I AM statement to settle into the space of your own beating heart.

Tucking it deep within that space of stillness.

Quiet.

Balance.

The practice of yoga nidra now begins.

Allow all attention to move into the tip of your right thumb.

Full awareness and presence.

Feel into your right thumb.

First finger.

Second finger.

Third finger.

Fourth finger.

Palm of the hand.

Back of the hand.

Feel your entire right hand.

Feel into your wrist joint.

Elbow joint.

Shoulder.

Right side rib cage.

Hip bone.

Knee cap.

Shin.

Ankle bone.

Top of the right foot.

Soul of the foot.

Right big toe.

Second toe.

Third toe.

Fourth toe.

Fifth toe.

Feel your whole right foot.

Whole right leg.

Right side body.

Right arm.

Right side of your face.

Feel now your entire right side.

The entire right side of your body.

Awareness now moves into the tip of your left thumb.

Full presence in your left thumb.

First finger.

Second finger.

Third finger.

Palm of the hand.

Back of the hand.

Feel your entire left hand.

Whole left hand.

Fifth toe.

Feel your whole left foot.

Left leg.

Left side body.

Left arm.

Left side of your face.

Feel your whole left side.

Your entire left side.

Allow awareness now to integrate your entire body.

Feel your right side.

Left side.

Entire back side of your body.

Entire front side of your body.

Feel now your whole body.

Hold presence of your entire body.

Feel your whole body.

Still.

Quiet.

Balance.

Awareness moves now from your physical body back into the body of your breath.

Without shifting or changing its pattern,

With an easy presence,

Feel into the way your body breathes.

Meet its rhythm.

Observe its cadence.

Feel the way your body breathes.

Adding in awareness of your energy body into the body of your breath.

As you take your next inhale,

Feel your energy move into the space of heart.

As your body exhales,

Feel the energy pour from your heart into the palms of your hands and soles of your feet.

As you breathe in,

Feel energy move back in towards centered space of heart.

As you breathe out,

Outward,

The energy flows.

Feel your energy body moving with the body of your breath.

Feel now the energy body as it rests and naturally settles.

Feeling your energy body in a state of stillness,

Quiet,

Balance.

Moving into the body of sensation,

Pull into focus the sensation of coldness.

Feel yourself cold.

Whole body.

Frigid with cold.

Observe how coldness feels on your skin.

In your breath.

Feel cold.

Whole body.

Frigid cold.

Now feel hot.

Sensations of heat.

Feel sharp,

Prickly heat.

Feel the whole body hot.

Feel the heat on your skin.

Feel the heat move into your body through your breath.

Feel your whole body hot.

Invite yourself now to dance between these two sensations with equal presence.

Feel cold.

Feel hot.

Move peacefully between the two.

Then release both,

Feeling back into stillness,

Quiet,

Balance.

Invite now the body to take on sensations of heaviness.

Heaviness.

Whole body heavy.

Weighted.

Dense.

Feel the whole body heavy.

Releasing heaviness,

The body moves towards lightness.

Lightness.

Feel the whole body light,

Lifted,

Free.

Whole body light.

Now hold both sensations with equal presence.

Feel heavy.

Feel light.

Feeling with ease between the two.

Now release both.

Returning again,

Stillness,

Quiet,

Balance.

Presence now sinks into our intuitive body,

Allowing images to rise and fall with ease.

Stacking of old books.

Dirty toes in the sand.

Birds on a frozen lake.

White rose.

White rose.

White rose.

Stone temple.

Swaying in a hammock.

Blank journal.

A broken heart.

A broken heart.

A broken heart.

Flickering candle.

A genie's lamp.

Old broom.

An open heart.

An open heart.

An open heart.

Feel into the space of your own open and expansive heart.

Observe your heart as wide,

Open space.

Allow your heart to extend into its fullest expanse.

Growing,

Expanding,

Connecting.

Feel your heart rest into the presence of the divine and surrender self into unbound awareness.

The divine places your sankalpa back into the space of heart.

Feel your sankalpa.

Feel your sankalpa.

Feel your sankalpa.

The practice of yoga nidra is now complete.

Visualize your body resting a snowfall.

Embodying again its qualities.

Quiet.

Stillness.

Balance.

See your body resting heavy on earth,

Held by the landscape beneath you.

Practice then peacefully floats back into the body of your breath.

Feeling body breathe in.

Feeling body breathe out.

Feel back into the presence of your physical form.

Feeling where your body would most like to come back to life first.

Bring in movements with peace and grace.

As you feel ready,

Gently make your way to a side body.

Curling knees in towards the heart and keeping the weight of the head heavy on the arm or earth beneath you.

Pause here for a few deep breaths.

Feeling back into the stability of earth below you and into the steadiness of breath within you.

Feel your body resting heavy on earth,

Holding back your breath.

Love this and your strong voice. The volume is low though and as I don’t wear headphones I have volume on my phone which is right beside my head, at max volume.

Simple, yet powerful. Thank you. I do wonder what the intention behind the white rose, broken heart and open heart visualisations were.

Loved the different than usual visualizations. Dirty toes in the sand. Old broom. White rose. And there was just the right amount of space for hot and cold, going back and forth. I felt the movement from one to another more vividly. Happy with this nidra.
