It's the middle of the day.
A lot has been done and still a lot to do.
Wherever you are,
Take a brief pause.
Find a moment of stillness and reconnect with your breath.
Sit comfortably,
Unclench the jaw,
Drop your shoulders,
Rest hands on the lap,
Soften your belly,
Straighten the spine,
Ground your sit bones and flatten the feet on the floor.
Expand your gaze without moving your head.
Now return to a soft gaze or gently close your eyes.
Draw your awareness to the state of your mind.
Look at your thoughts.
Maybe you are thinking of an unfinished task or the evening to follow or perhaps even a long pending to-do list.
Whatever that is,
Allow these thoughts to just float by and come back to the moment right here,
Right now.
Shift your awareness to your breath.
On your next inhale,
Breathe deeply into your belly,
Your chest,
All the way up to the top of your throat.
Take an extra sip of air and hold the breath for a count of two.
As you exhale,
Breath flows out from the throat,
Chest and all the way out,
Deflating your belly.
Inhale,
Belly expands,
Chest fills up to the throat,
Hold and exhale,
Throat,
Chest,
Belly.
In,
Belly,
Chest,
Throat,
Hold,
Out,
Throat,
Chest,
Belly.
Keep going at your own pace.
Remember to fill yourself up completely on inhales and empty completely on exhales.
After your next exhale,
Come back to the natural rhythm of your breath.
Bring your awareness back to the state of your mind.
Notice your thoughts.
Notice your feelings.
I hope you carry this energy through the rest of your day.
Have a wonderful one.
From my heart to yours,
Namaste.
