Represents intuition,

Empathy and the vast unconscious.

This sign is distinguished by its deep emotional sensitivity,

Creative imagination and a profound connection to all that is unseen.

Pisceans excel in blending outer reality with the mystical,

Seamlessly navigating between the physical and the boundless worlds of their own making.

In this active imagination exercise,

We will engage with the energy of Pisces,

Delving into the themes of intuition,

Artistic expression and the universal human experience.

Just first making sure you're comfortable,

Whether seated or lying down.

If there are any areas of discomfort,

Then early in the exercise is a good time to rectify those.

And with your eyes closed,

Just taking a couple of deep breaths.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the mouth.

And now,

Breathing normally,

Just bring your attention to the sensation of the breath,

Wherever you feel it the most.

It's good to start each active imagination session with just some basic meditation.

Just to let go of any disparate inclinations and thoughts.

This will ultimately provide us better access to the imagination and connection to the unconscious.

So anytime the mind wanders,

No problem at all.

Simply bring the attention back to the exercise.

And now,

We're going to bring our attention to the imagination.

And just imagine yourself standing at the edge of a vast ocean.

This ocean represents the boundless nature of the unconscious,

As well as the energy of Pisces.

This can appear any way it needs to for you.

It might be a beach or a cliff edge.

It could be at any time of day or night.

Just reflect momentarily on any emotional and creative undercurrents in your life.

And look out into the ocean and just see how these aspects present themselves.

Perhaps you see objects in the water,

Perhaps changes to the water itself.

You're now going to engage in a conversation with the ocean.

You can do this with just the ocean itself,

Or it might manifest as a figure representing the energy of Pisces.

Just allow it to form in whatever way it needs to.

You're going to start this dialogue by asking the ocean a series of questions.

And as you ask these questions,

Simply state them to the ocean and see how they respond.

First,

Ask the ocean,

Who are you and what you represent in my life?

What intuitions are emerging for me at the moment?

How can I deepen my relationship to my creative and emotional self?

How can I deepen my relationship with the unseen,

The unconscious?

And in what ways might this benefit my life?

Having asked these questions and witnessed the response,

Now engage in a two-way dialogue with the ocean.

This is your chance to say whatever you need to say.

Perhaps asking questions,

Saying your piece.

Attempt to reconcile where there may be any conflict.

So as your conversation with the ocean draws to a close,

Imagine integrating with the ocean somehow.

And take any kind of symbolic action that feels right to you.

You might imagine yourself visually merging with it,

Or you might give or receive some kind of offering.

Or you might make a statement affirming your intention to honor this part of you.

So just saying goodbye to the ocean for now and allowing the scene to fade.

Remember you can repeat this exercise and reconnect with this part of you anytime you need to.

So just bringing your attention back to space around you now.

Noticing any sounds or sensations.

Taking a deep breath.

And in your own time,

Opening your eyes again.
