Hello and welcome to this practice.
I am Mahalia Jane and I am so grateful that you have chosen to share this space with me here.
It is likely that you have landed here because you are living with the weight of endometriosis.
And as someone who is living with this pain personally,
I am truly sorry that you are experiencing this.
Living with a chronic disease like endometriosis can feel incredibly isolating at times,
But in this space,
You are not alone.
In today's meditation,
I will guide your body and nervous system into a place of calm and safety,
Inviting you to relax and soften your body.
And in that relaxation and compassionate awareness,
You will offer kindness to the places that are hurting.
This practice is not about forcing healing or pushing pain away.
It is about cultivating a moment of comfort,
Acceptance and relief for your body.
In times like these,
We can feel disconnected from our bodies,
Longing for who we used to be or wishing that we could fast forward to a version of ourselves that feels well again.
This meditation is an invitation to return gently to yourself,
Exactly as your body is today and to meet it with compassion rather than resistance.
Know that you are held here and allow whatever emotions arise to simply be welcomed.
There is no right way to experience this moment.
You are safe to feel,
You are safe to soften.
Gently soften into a comfortable position,
Allowing your body to rest.
You may choose to lie down or sit somewhere supportive,
Just letting your hands rest softly on your body,
Maybe welcoming your hands over your lower body if that feels comfortable.
Shutting down your eyes,
Letting the muscles in your face drop and relax,
Starting from your feet and moving all the way to your head.
Tense up all of the muscles in your body,
From your feet,
Ankles,
Legs,
Allowing any tension that's left in the body to just melt into the space below you.
Just let that tension melt and let it go.
Bringing awareness to your breath now,
Take a slow breath in through your nose and gently breathe out through your mouth.
Again,
Inhale filling the lungs softly and exhale releasing any tightness that may be left in the body.
Nothing you need to do here but be with the breath,
Nothing to push through or fix,
Just be with the breath.
Again with your inhale filling up your lungs and releasing.
The place where so many sensations live and in this moment hear these words,
Your pain is real,
Your experience is real,
Your body is not broken.
This body has been carrying so much,
We are not here to fight it,
We are here to meet it with love and compassion,
With that love and compassion.
See and feel a warm,
Gentle,
Golden glow in the centre of your belly,
Filling up the space.
And with your next breath in,
Allow this warmth to expand through your chest,
Your shoulders.
And with your next breath in,
Allow this warmth to slowly expand into the places that ache,
Into the places that feel tight,
Like a soft golden heat wrapping around the areas that need comfort.
You do not need to push the pain away,
Simply allow this warmth to hold it.
Imagine every breath sending a message of safety through your nervous system.
With the breath in,
Warmth,
Healing and love arriving.
And with the breath out,
Softening a little deeper.
Continue inhaling,
Knowing you are safe,
And exhaling,
Trusting you can soften now.
Inhale,
You are safe,
Exhale,
You can soften here.
Let go of any grip you are holding,
Trust it's okay for your belly to relax.
Your body is doing the best it can.
If your hands are not already on your abdomen,
Place them on your belly now.
And quietly say to yourself,
My body is doing the best it can.
I offer myself patience.
I give myself kindness.
Allow the golden warmth to spread through the pelvis,
The hips and down through your legs.
See the muscles in the pelvic space loosening.
Continue to follow the rhythm of this warm glow,
Sending it to all the areas that need love and compassion.
And just rest here a little while,
Beautiful one.
Remember that every moment you offer your body compassion,
You are supporting healing in a deep way.
And your breath is always a doorway back to calm.
When you feel ready,
Gently bring awareness back to the room around you.
Welcoming movement into the fingers and the toes.
A smile to your face.
Some gentle movement through your neck.
And if it feels right,
Open your eyes.
Your body is worthy of patience and care,
And you are worthy of deep,
Gentle self-love.
We feel at times that an entire universe is being orchestrated inside of our body without our consent.
We wonder how this happened,
What is this and what will be.
And in all of this suffering and unknown,
We still have the choice to give our body patience,
To give our body care.
And you are so worthy of deep,
Gentle,
Self-loving care.
Tread lightly,
Dear one,
And remember that you are so held in this space of pain.
Thank you for being here with me today.
If this meditation supported you,
I encourage you to return to this space whenever your body needs comfort,
Softness and care.
Have a beautiful day.
