Welcome to this sleep meditation to release addiction.
Now,
So many of us have various addictions,
Whether it be to alcohol or other substances,
Food,
Particular people,
Sex,
Maybe certain behaviors that don't serve us,
Scrolling on social media,
Using our devices more than we would like,
Shopping,
The list goes on and on.
And I think that one of the things with addiction is that often it can live in secrecy and people feel a certain level of shame around the habit or pattern because addiction for some people might imply a lack of self-control and that can feel shameful sometimes.
But it need not feel shameful and I'd like to invite you to bring in some compassion to whatever you're currently moving through,
To your relationship with whatever pattern or habit or substance you have and to just take a moment now before we really drop in to just accept where you are and to gift yourself some kindness and perhaps to bring some understanding into why you might currently be where you are and maybe that's things that have happened in your childhood or maybe there are patterns of substance abuse or addictions in your family line.
Maybe there are many,
Many reasons why you're choosing to go towards this habit at this current time.
Maybe you're under a lot of stress or maybe this has been your coping mechanism since you remember and perhaps you just don't have other tools available at the moment to support you in your life.
So just taking a little bit of time to really welcome some self-compassion,
Some understanding and some acceptance of where you are currently at.
It's okay to be here and by listening to this meditation you are taking a step to support yourself even if you feel powerless you are taking steps towards empowerment.
So just remember that and as we drop further into the sleep meditation I'm going to be journeying with some visualizations and then sharing some light language to help to reprogram you as you sleep and support you on this path to releasing this substance or pattern or habit if it is no longer serving your highest good.
So beginning by really relaxing and bringing an intention of relaxation to the body and maybe beginning by taking a few deep breaths,
Breathing in your fullest breath in through the nose and holding it for a moment at the top and then maybe sighing it out through the mouth making any noises that you feel called to make.
And maybe repeating that cleansing breath a few more times just working with your own breath breathing in your fullest breath holding it and noticing the pause at the top and then sighing it out before repeating that cycle as many times as feels good and as you do that just really as you do that just really trying to drop your focus your attention into your beautiful body with the intention to relax,
To release and you can release that breath now if you feel as though you've worked with it for as long as you'd like to and just return the breath to its normal rhythm its normal pace breathing in and out of the nose and now inviting an image of a beautiful gold white light beginning to shimmer and sparkle at the crown of the head before it begins to trickle down in waves over your entire body your entire being until it begins to stretch out surrounding your whole aura in a protective bubble of golden white light and as you lie in this bubble of gold white light you begin to breathe in its glow with the in-breath allowing it to really move into every part of your beautiful body noticing how your breath begins to dance with this soothing gold white light moving in and out of the body and you might want to rest your focus at the belly a really easy place to connect with the motion and movement the rocking of the breath and we're going to bring in a little bit of intention now so i'd like to invite you to bring to mind the addiction that you're currently moving through that you perhaps need or feel that you need support with and to just hold it gently in mind now for a few moments and with the addiction in mind we're now going to imagine releasing it through the breath and as we release it and it simply has to be an intention of release we see sense or feel we imagine a thick black smoke exiting our body moving out of our body through the breath so inviting you to breathe in the gold shimmering light with the in-breath filling your body with divine support and breathing out the black smoke without breath noticing whether you feel lighter each time you breathe this out and it exits the body and inviting you to continue working with that visualization until you lose track of it and if the mind wanders or you begin to drift off to sleep of course let yourself go to sleep but if you find that the mind is particularly active tonight and you struggle to get to sleep immediately then just using this visualization and returning to it as an aid for sleep receiving these light codes to support the release of the addiction hey um oh um hey hello and um okay and um come oh foreign hey hey hey okay um um okay yeah and um oh come oh hey look hey and okay hey oh oh foreign hey foreign so foreign oh hey come okay foreign foreign foreign foreign foreign kusha um um so etia foreign sit okay hey deep my hey etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia etia
