This meditation is titled Just for Today.
Just for today,
I will awaken slowly,
Feeling my body's heaviness against the support beneath me.
Just for today,
I will move with softness,
Letting my breath travel all the way to my bones.
And when I rise to let the sun touch my face,
I will not fret and let the day rush me.
I will breathe.
I will arrive.
I will be still.
Find a comfortable space free of distraction and begin seated or lying on your back.
Take three deep,
Rounded breaths,
Noticing the space between the inhale and the exhale.
Feel the support beneath,
Holding.
Sink deeper with each exhale.
As inhale arrives,
Expand,
Lifting your heart,
Spine lengthens,
Opening like a flower,
Awakening by the sun.
Breath by breath,
Life enters.
Breath by breath,
Heart opens.
Breath by breath,
Life greets the day.
This day,
Just for today.
As you move through your day,
Let tiny moments of pause enter your heart.
Give yourself permission to breathe with intention.
Give yourself permission to observe.
Give yourself permission to let go,
Just for today.
Go in peace.
