Today's meditation is designed to blanket fear and anxiety with a calming state that arrives when we are able to see life through the eyes of wellness.
So let yourself find a comfortable seat or a quiet space and join me in finding gratitude for all that is well in this life.
Listen to the sounds around you.
Give yourself a few breaths noticing the rise and the fall.
Inhale through your nose and let this breath travel down the back of your throat,
Behind your heart space,
All the way down into your belly and then slowly let it go,
Traveling the same path in which it entered.
Soften your skin,
Relax your brow,
Unclench jaw.
Allow your shoulders to fall away from your ears.
Begin now to listen to the sound of you.
Notice your breath and your body right now,
Just as it is.
Feel the sound of you.
Draw another inhale through your nose,
Letting it brush against the back of your throat as it glides all the way down,
Lifting your heart and expanding the walls of your lungs.
Let it go.
These deep rounded breaths are your life force and when we allow ourselves a few gentle moments to breathe with intention,
We support our cardiovascular system with added oxygen.
We calm our central nervous system by dropping into the simplicity of breath.
Notice this beautiful physical and mental body connection is often overlooked.
Yet when we pause,
The magnitude of our life force grows like a warm light beaming within us.
Prana travels the length of our spine.
And as we exhale a little bit longer,
Our shoulders relax,
Hips sink further into the earth.
And we are drawn closer to the support that rests within.
Grounding is achieved and in this moment we begin to manifest wellness.
Let dark corners between flesh and bone begin to feel warmth by the light of breath.
So as you rest here,
Simply breathing,
Let your next inhale resonate,
I am.
And as you exhale,
Say the word alive.
Inhale,
I am.
Exhale,
Alive.
Inhale,
I am.
Exhale,
Well.
I am here.
I am strong.
We have the ability within us to ground and manifest in all that we need.
We have the capacity to heal our bodies simply breathing.
The brain has the capacity to send messages of healing to every single cell within our bodies.
What a gift.
Even in the darkest day,
In the moments of anxiety and fear,
We can heal.
What a precious gift.
Draw another deep breath in.
Feel the space around you.
Notice the pause between each inhale and each exhale.
Feel the air touching your skin.
As you blink your eyes open,
Feel the sense of peace in allowing yourself to simply be here now.
Know that you are well.
Know that you are supported.
Go in peace.
Spread light and radiate love.
