This is a place within you that you can access to relieve insomnia, stress, anxiety, depression, anger, panic or any negative emotions you may experience. Remember to take a deep breath and access this place whenever you struggle to sleep. We recommend using headphones.

Hey,

Welcome to this guided sleep visualization.

To begin,

I want you to make sure that you are in a comfortable position.

You can sit down,

But as this is a sleep meditation,

I would suggest that you lay down in bed to feel fully relaxed.

Make sure that your space is cosy with a blanket over you and some pillows.

Close your eyes and begin to notice any sensations in your body.

Take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your mouth.

Notice any tension within your body or any particular areas that feel tense.

And with your next inhale,

I want you to breathe in relaxation and breathe out tension.

Feeling the rise and fall in your stomach as you breathe in and out.

Breathe in relaxation and breathe out tension.

Now allow your breathing to return to a natural rhythm.

With your eyes closed,

I want you to imagine a peaceful place.

A place where you feel comfortable and safe.

Watch as an image begins to form in your imagination of this beautiful,

Peaceful place.

And if an image does not form,

You do not need to question it,

Just allow this place to feel relaxing to you.

Where is this peaceful place?

A particular country that you enjoy?

A beach?

A friend's house where you feel safe?

What do you see around you?

What are the colours?

Are they bright and bold or more neutral and calm?

What items or objects do you see when you look around?

Listen to the sounds in this place.

What can you hear?

Do you hear sounds of nature or a crackling fire or maybe it's just peaceful?

What do you hear?

Take a deep breath and notice what you smell in this safe place.

Is it a familiar smell that you know?

A smell that reminds you of someone or something?

Take a deep breath in and notice the smell.

Notice how your body feels in this place.

This is a comfortable,

Safe space.

Your body is feeling relaxed here.

Your tension is leaving your body as you unwind,

Knowing that you can be calm here.

What sensations do you feel in your body?

Allow every muscle to unwind from your head to your toes as you breathe in relaxation and breathe out tension.

Try to notice all of the details of your peaceful place.

They may be fuzzy now,

But with time you will be able to see them clearer.

Just take in all of the details of where you are.

You are sitting in this peaceful place,

A feeling of warmth washes over you as you breathe in and out.

You know that you are safe here.

You know that you are allowed to let go in this place.

This is a place where you do not have to pretend.

You do not have to hide.

You can be whoever you want to be here.

You are safe and you are comfortable.

Your muscles release any pressure.

All of the tension that you have been holding onto begins to drift away as your body sinks into this soft surface below you.

Your body is heavy as all of your muscles are relaxed.

You do not need to hold pressure inside of your body in this moment.

You can be fully relaxed,

Allowing your body to be calm.

Listen to the familiar sounds of your peaceful place.

They are soothing to your ears.

These sounds remind you that there is nothing to worry about.

There is no reason to be stressed.

You can be happy and let go of any anxiety within you.

You are safe here.

It is peaceful.

It is a place for you to feel relaxed,

So relaxed that you can fall asleep.

You can allow yourself to fall asleep feeling this positive feeling of relaxation in this safe space.

You are calm.

You are content.

You are fully relaxed.

Allow yourself to enjoy a deep sleep in this peaceful place.
