This is a guided meditation for insomnia and deep sleep.
Make sure that you are comfortable laying down with earphones in and a blanket or quilt to keep you warm.
Take a moment to focus on your breathing.
Place one hand on your chest and one hand on your stomach.
With every deep breath notice the rise and fall.
With your next deep breath bring relaxation into your body and as you exhale release any stress that you are holding onto.
Allow your muscles to release any tension,
Starting with your head.
Allow your inner monologue to be calm.
Any negative thoughts let them float away.
As you take a deep breath and fill your body with relaxation.
Moving down to your neck,
A place that we don't often focus on but holds a lot of pressure.
Release this pressure.
Focus on your neck and release any pressure.
Following down to your shoulders and back,
These areas are often tense throughout the day.
Take a deep breath and focus on these areas.
And as you exhale imagine the tension is lifting away from your body.
Any tension is lifting away.
Through to your arms,
To your fingers,
Allow the relaxation to flow through them.
Moving from your arms down through your chest and stomach.
Notice the rise and fall in your chest and stomach as you bring into your body a calming flow of relaxation and release any stress within you.
Bringing in relaxation and releasing any stress.
Down through your hips to your legs.
Your legs carry you through the day.
Allow them to take this time to be comfortable and calm.
Allow yourself to let these muscles release tension.
All the way from your hips through your thighs to your knees.
Down through your calves and shins,
All the way down to your ankles and feet.
Your feet are releasing the pressure from your day.
The pressure in your feet from the day is drifting away.
Working back up,
Focus on the pressure in your legs and notice the feeling as it begins to drift away.
Up to your hips,
Your stomach and back,
Notice as the pressure drifts away.
Up to your shoulders,
Through your arms and back up to your neck.
Notice the tension leaving your body.
Up to your head,
Allow any stress,
Tension or pressure to leave your body through the top of your head.
Your body is now feeling calm,
Relaxed and peaceful.
Allowing you to be fully comfortable in this moment.
As you notice how relaxed your body feels from your head to your toes,
Notice your muscles unwinding and feeling light.
Your mind slowly switching off.
In go of any thoughts and just focusing on the rhythm of your breath.
There is nothing else to do right now but to enjoy this moment and allow yourself to drift into sleep.
Your body is calm and relaxed.
You are comfortable and peaceful in this moment.
Your body is calm.
You are comfortable.
Enjoy this moment as you drift into this deep relaxation.
Allow your body to let go and fully relax in this moment.
Allow yourself to fall asleep,
Feeling peaceful and relaxed.
