Today we will be doing a full body scan.

We will be tuning into the energy that we are feeling in our bodies to help us to release any negativity,

Stress or anxiety.

When discovering our inner sensations and noticing the rhythm of our energy,

We will be noticing without distracting,

Just simply allowing ourselves to be aware of our inner self and connecting with our emotions whilst we relax.

To begin,

Find a comfortable position,

Whether sitting or laying down,

Bring your attention to your feet,

Tense and release the muscles in your feet,

Moving up and notice the feeling in your calves,

The feeling in your calves,

Notice your mind focusing on the area that you send it to,

Moving up and through your knees to your thighs,

All of your focus is on your thighs,

The feeling in your thighs,

Purposely focusing on each part of your body as you relax deeper,

Moving up through your hips and lower back,

Notice the feeling in your hips and lower back,

To your stomach,

All of your focus is on your stomach,

Notice how in this relaxed moment you can control the focus of your mind,

Moving up to your chest and upper back,

Notice the soothing rhythm of your chest as you breathe in and out,

Slowly rising and falling as you breathe in and out,

Notice the feeling in your shoulders,

Tense and release the muscles in your shoulders,

Moving down through your arms,

Ask your brain to relax the muscles in your arms,

Feel them releasing tension all the way down to your fingers,

Through your fingers releasing tension,

Notice the feeling in your fingers and moving up again through your arms,

Back up to your shoulders,

Up to your neck,

All of your focus is on your neck,

Focusing on the feeling in your neck and up to your head,

Notice the feeling in your head as you release any pressure,

Focus on your head,

From your toes all of the way up to your head,

You are relaxed and rested,

Allow your mind to rest equally as you switch off your inner monologue,

Allow any thoughts to drift away and just focus on my voice and the sensation of your breathing,

Releasing any negativity,

Releasing any stress,

Releasing any anxiety,

Give your body permission to relax,

You are safe,

Allow yourself to notice this safe feeling and let go of any anxiety you may be holding onto,

Let go of any negativity,

Let go of any stress,

Remind yourself that you are safe,

You are safe and you are calm.
