Welcome to this guided meditation.
I'm glad to have you here.
Find a comfortable position.
And allow yourself to settle.
Feel the chair supporting you.
The floor beneath your feet.
And the steady Earth beneath it all.
It feels comfortable.
You can close your eyes or just soften your gaze.
Take a slow,
Easy breath in.
And gently let it go.
Again,
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
And continue at a comfortable pace.
Simply notice whatever is coming up with you,
With kindness.
You don't need to change anything.
Just allow yourself to be here.
Exactly as you are.
Your body has been faithfully at work all day.
While you were sleeping?
Thinking,
Moving around.
Resting.
Your body has continued responding to life.
One moment at a time.
Beneath everything you may be feeling.
Your body is wonderfully alive.
Your heart continues beating.
Your lungs continue breathing.
Your nervous system is constantly receiving and responding.
And throughout your body.
Trillions of tiny cells.
Are quietly doing.
What they were created to do.
Most of them.
You've never even noticed.
So today.
I'd like to invite you.
To spend a little time.
With just one cell.
Not because it's more important than the others.
But because every story begins somewhere.
Perhaps it's a cell in your hand.
Or your shoulder.
Or your stomach.
Or your heart.
Or somewhere you've never thought about before.
Simply imagine.
One tiny cell.
You don't need to picture it perfectly.
Just know that it's there.
Faithfully doing its work.
Inside that tiny cell.
Are hundreds of even smaller structures.
Each quietly doing its own part.
Creating energy.
Repairing replacing what has worn out.
Communicate.
Responding.
To what is needed.
In this moment.
No one asking for recognition.
Simply working together.
Like each of us.
This tiny cell.
Simply meets the moment it is given.
Responding.
Adapting.
Doing what it can.
With the resources available.
In this moment.
Some days,
Life asks more of our bodies.
Than we would ever have chosen.
And still.
This little cell continues.
Faithfully.
Perhaps it deserves a little bit of compassion.
If it feels comfortable for you.
Place a hand gently over your heart.
Or wherever your hand naturally wants to rest.
Not because your body needs fixing.
But simply as a quiet gesture of kindness.
Now imagine sitting beside this tiny cell.
Like sitting beside someone who has worked faithfully for many years.
You don't need to encourage it to work harder.
You don't need to ask it to do more.
Today isn't about asking your body for anything.
Today.
You simply want it to know.
It is love.
Perhaps you quietly say,
Thank you.
Thank you for everything you've done today.
Thank you for continuing.
Even when I didn't notice.
Thank you.
For your quiet faithfulness.
And perhaps you may say.
.
.
I'm sorry.
I'm sorry for the times I've only noticed you when something hurt.
I'm sorry for the moments frustration became criticism.
I'm sorry for forgetting.
How much has been happening quietly.
All along.
Before I ask anything more of my body.
I simply want it to know.
It is love.
I choose Appreciation.
I choose kindness.
I choose to become someone who cares for my body.
With gentleness.
Patience.
And compassion.
Imagine this tiny cell.
Simply receiving your kindness.
Nothing needs to change.
Nothing needs to be different.
Sometimes.
Simply being noticed with kindness.
Change is a relationship.
Perhaps today.
That relationship is your own.
Now imagine that appreciation.
Gently spreading.
From this one tiny cell.
To the neighboring cells.
And then beyond.
One by one.
Quietly.
Throughout your body.
Not because everything is working perfectly.
Not because your body hasn't struggled.
But because your body can.
Has continued responding.
To the life it has been given.
Adapting protecting.
Repairing when it can.
Continuing.
One faithful moment.
At a time.
Perhaps you quietly repeat.
May every part of me know it is appreciated.
May my body.
.
.
Feel safe with me.
May I continue meeting myself.
With kindness.
One.
.
.
Gentle moment.
At a time.
Thank you for everything you continue to do.
Before we leave this moment.
Simply notice what it feels like.
To meet your body.
With appreciation.
You don't have to create any particular feeling.
Whatever is here.
Is enough.
Perhaps there's a little more softness.
A little more peace.
Or simply a willingness.
To see your body.
A little differently.
You notice even the smallest shift.
Stay with it.
For another breath or two.
Our nervous system learns through.
Repeated experiences of safety and kindness.
So let yourself remember this moment.
Notice where you feel it.
Perhaps in your chest.
Your shoulders.
Your breathing.
Or simply in a quiet sense of connection with your body.
You don't need to hold on to it.
Just notice it.
And perhaps sometime later today.
You will pause.
Place a hand over your heart.
Take one slow breath.
And quietly whisper.
Thank you.
Returning,
If only for a few seconds,
To this same spirit of appreciation.
One gentle moment.
Can become another.
And another.
Begin bringing your awareness back to the room.
Notice the chair beneath you the floor beneath your feet.
Sounds around you.
Gently wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready.
.
.
Allow your eyes to slowly open.
Thank you for sharing these quiet moments with me.
As you move through the rest of your day.
May you remember.
Your body has been faithfully at work all along.
May you continue to meet it.
With kindness.
With gratitude.
And with love.
Thank you for joining me today.
