This practice is best done standing or sitting on a chair with your feet flat on the ground.

Place one hand on your forehead high enough so your pinky finger is above your eyebrows.

And place the other hand at the back of your head so your thumb rests between your neck and the base of your skull.

Feel what it's like to hold your head this way.

Notice the sensations within your head.

Now let the hand from the back of your head slide over your neck and down to your heart space.

Feel the warmth of your hand there.

At the same time,

Feel the touch of your other hand on your forehead.

Feel into your heart space.

Meanwhile,

Let the weight of your head sink into the hand on your forehead.

Gently bring your head back up,

Hold it upright,

Take the hand from your forehead and place it on your opposite waist or hip so your arm lies diagonally across your torso.

Feel what that is like.

One hand on your heart space,

One hand at your side in a half hug.

Maybe you'd like to sway a little from side to side.

Now bring the hand from your heart space to your lower back.

Rest the back of your hand there either vertically or across your tailbone.

Feel the warmth.

Let your hands drop.

Notice the after effects.

Which sensations of touch can you still feel even though your hands are no longer there?

If your eyes were closed,

Open them gently.

Look around your room.

Orient yourself in the present moment before you continue with your day.
