Hello and welcome to this meditation.

As you take this special time to treat yourself with the gift of self-care,

Allow this meditation to take you to a place where you can retreat within yourself and find inner peace.

I would like to acknowledge how important it is to take this time for yourself to rest,

Reflect and rejuvenate.

You should feel proud of yourself for choosing to take care of you.

You deserve it.

Now as you are enjoying this relaxing treatment,

You can take this time to turn within and center yourself.

Where you are sitting,

Adjust your body so that you are more comfortable.

Rest your sit bones until you feel balanced and allow your body to begin to relax.

If you haven't done so already,

You can gently close your eyes.

And let's begin by taking a few deep breaths,

Allowing your breath to flow into your nose and your mouth.

Fill up your lungs and trickle down into your core.

And then you can release your breath,

Letting go of all the air.

It is time to release any tension that you might have.

Starting with your head,

Soften your brow and your jaw.

Remind your body that it is time to relax.

Feel free to stretch your neck and move it side to side to let go of any discomfort here.

Lift your shoulders up and let them sink down,

Telling your muscles here to let go and relax.

Breathe into your chest and your stomach,

And if you notice yourself tensing up in these areas,

Just release it gently.

Feel free to twist and stretch your back and let go of any tension here.

Again,

You can adjust your sit bones to get more comfortable.

And release any tension in your legs.

And finally,

You can flex your feet and then let them gently float back into their resting place.

Take a deep breath in and let it out.

Breathe in again and breathe out.

One more time,

Breathe in and breathe out.

Now with your eyes closed,

You can start to use your imagination.

Imagine yourself in a beautiful forest surrounded by trees.

Picture yourself in a pristine old growth forest where the trees are large and they reach way up into the sky above you.

Everywhere you turn you see green.

Green moss growing on the rocks and fallen logs.

And lush green ferns blanket the forest floor,

Filling any empty space around you.

You can smell the fresh scent of the rich soil below you.

And you can hear the orchestra of birds singing in the branches all around you.

To your side there is a gentle brook with crystal clear water flowing through the middle of this magnificent forest.

You feel safe here.

You feel calm,

Relaxed and peaceful.

So you decide to sit down next to the stream.

You find a soft place to relax between the trees and the ferns.

There are logs and rocks all around you like a little wall circling your sacred space here.

You sit here for a moment taking in all of the scenery,

The smells and the beautiful sounds.

So take a moment to center yourself and connect with nature.

And as you are sitting on the forest floor connecting with nature,

Imagine that just like a tree,

You have roots coming out from beneath you.

Growing from the base of your spine and reaching down through the ground below you.

Feel your roots spreading out through the rich soil and moving down deeper and deeper into the ground.

Imagine your roots traveling down deeper and deeper heading towards the center of the earth.

And once your roots reach the center of the earth,

Imagine them wrapping around the core of the earth.

So you can now imagine that you are connected to the core of the earth and the center of the world.

Imagine that this core is full of love energy and this love energy starts to transfer from the core into your roots and begins traveling up through your roots and up through the soil.

With each breath,

This loving energy moves up more and more through your roots until it eventually reaches where your body is sitting on the forest floor.

When you can feel this loving energy enter your body at the bottom of your spine and begin twirling around your spine and spreading throughout your entire body.

Take a deep breath in and feel this loving energy that you are receiving from the earth below you.

Feel your connection with Mother Nature and notice how you feel centered and full of love.

Imagine yourself looking over at the stream beside you.

Now that you are grounded and connected to the earth,

You feel drawn to the water.

You can dip your feet into the water and feel it flowing around your ankles.

As you watch it run over rocks and pebbles,

You think about how fluid water is and you admire how it can flow around any obstacles that come along the way.

Water is always moving forward,

Always adapting to the twists and turns ahead.

And just like water,

You can let go of resistance.

You can flow with life and let it take you where you are meant to go.

Give yourself permission to release the need to hold control over a situation that may be blocking you from moving forward.

After all,

You deserve to feel peace.

Allow the water's energy to flow over you and ease any resistance and tension that you may have.

Allow the water to cleanse you,

Heal you,

And purify you.

Take a deep breath in and feel the water cleansing your body,

Breathing out any impurities and letting them flow away with the river.

Breathing in and out.

Breathing in and out.

With the loving energy from the earth and the healing energy of water,

You feel a wave of peace come over you.

You allow your body to relax even more as you feel centered,

Rejuvenated,

And full of love.

You feel connected,

Grounded,

And ready to flow through life with a loving heart.
