Hello and welcome to this mindful meditation.
Start by finding a comfortable position.
This could be sitting or lying down and I'll give you a moment to find what feels most comfortable for you.
When you are comfortable,
Allow your eyes to gently close and come down into your breath,
Into your body.
Relaxing your belly and softening your mind.
Feel the support beneath you.
Connect with the ground below you.
Become aware of the sounds around you and let them be there.
Notice the air touching the surface of your body.
Notice the sky above and the horizons stretching all the way around you.
The earth below you supporting you.
Allow your forehead to gently relax.
Feel your cheeks soften and your jaw release.
Feel your shoulders lower and relax.
Feel your arms get heavier and sink further into relaxation.
Let your stomach soften and relax.
Relax your pelvis and allow it to open up.
Allow your legs to get heavy and feel your body melt deeper and deeper into relaxation.
When your attention wanders,
As it will,
With your emotions and thoughts racing,
Simply allow your mind to empty what it no longer needs to hold onto.
Let it flow out and away.
And gently bring your focus back to your breath.
Taking a deep breath in and letting it out.
I know this has been a difficult time for you,
But I also know that you are doing the best that you can.
So in this moment,
I would like you to forgive yourself.
Forgive yourself for these thoughts that you are having.
Forgive yourself for not staying focused or being productive.
Forgive yourself for not knowing what to do.
Forgive yourself.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
Take a deep breath in and let it out.
Now I would like you to give yourself permission.
Give yourself permission to rest.
Give yourself permission to cry.
Give yourself permission to take a bath,
Read a book,
Get creative,
Or take a nap.
Give yourself permission to breathe.
Give yourself permission to heal.
Take a deep breath in and exhale.
And finally,
In this moment,
I would like you to allow yourself to see the beauty that still exists around you.
Allow yourself to notice the beauty in nature.
Allow yourself to notice a kind gesture.
Allow yourself to notice that you are here and you are safe.
Allow yourself to feel grateful for your loved ones.
Allow yourself to feel the love and support all around you.
Trust that you will have everything you need to deal with this.
And as we near the end of this meditation,
I would just like to remind you that during difficult times like this,
Forgive yourself.
Give yourself permission to heal.
And allow yourself to feel the love and support that exists all around you.
You may now begin to wiggle your fingers and toes and start to wake your body up.
When you are ready,
You may slowly open your eyes and continue on with your day.
Thank you so much for joining me in this meditation.
