The Fire of Transformation Set Yourself Free Welcome,
My name is Nis.
What prevents you from standing firmly in your power and expressing yourself freely?
This meditation is for those who have the courage to look themselves in the eye and work with deep inner healing.
With the help of the Fire of Transformation,
We dance with the shadows within and free ourselves from the energy that no longer serves us.
Today I invite you to meet your power.
Not as something good or evil,
But as pure energy and potential.
What matters is how you express it,
The intention behind it,
And the actions that follow.
Power can create,
And it can destroy.
Both are necessary forces for growth and evolution.
In this meditation,
We call upon the destructive aspect of power as a strong ally.
A transformative energy that helps us dismantle what we have outgrown and what no longer serves us.
We surrender to the Fire of Transformation,
Allowing it to burn through the inner blockages that hold us back.
Blockages created by old energy trapped in our shadow,
In fixed patterns,
Stories,
And self-images.
With the help of this destructive force,
We create space for something new and better to emerge.
As human beings,
We often live with stories about who we are and what we can and cannot do.
But some of those stories are no longer true.
We continue to act from them,
Even though we've already changed.
Show yourself who you are,
By acting as the person you wish to become.
It is said that it is easier to act your way into a new belief than to convince yourself into acting differently.
So decide who you want to be,
And behave accordingly.
And pay attention.
Your emotions are important signals.
They show you what calls for your awareness.
Frustration is often an invitation to change,
A call to do things differently.
The shadows in our consciousness are not enemies,
But allies.
They try to protect,
Control,
Warn,
And compensate.
Anger shows you your boundaries and your passion.
Anxiety and restlessness point to the places where you are living too much in the past or the future,
And remind you to return to the present moment.
In this meditation,
We listen to the power within you.
We make space for what needs to be broken down,
And open the way for something new to grow.
Begin by finding a quiet place where you can withdraw without being disturbed.
Sit or lie down,
Whatever feels best.
Make yourself comfortable and gently close your eyes.
Take a deep breath in.
Take a deep breath out.
Exhale on a sigh.
And let your whole body soften.
Allow yourself to arrive and be fully present.
Let your thoughts drift by.
Listen to the signals your body is sending you.
Notice what is here.
How do you feel right now?
Let go of any tension or discomfort,
And send your breath to the places that need it.
With each breath,
Allow yourself to relax a little more.
Feel that you are alive,
That your heart is beating.
Give yourself permission to simply exist.
You don't need to change anything.
You are already enough.
You are here.
Now,
Let us set an intention for our spiritual work and call upon the Fire of Transformation for support.
Your intention focuses your energy and guides your work with the spirits.
Repeat after me.
Fire of Transformation,
I call upon you and ask for your help.
I wish to understand what prevents me from standing firmly in my power and in my will.
And I ask for your help in releasing what no longer serves me.
Fire of Transformation,
I call upon you and ask for your help.
I wish to understand what prevents me from standing firmly in my power and expressing myself freely.
And I ask for your help in releasing what no longer serves me.
Fire of Transformation,
I call upon you and ask for your help.
I wish to understand what prevents me from standing firmly in my power and expressing myself freely.
And I ask for your help in releasing what no longer serves me.
Take a moment to let the intention settle into your heart.
Feel its warmth spreading through your entire body.
Carry it with you like a quiet flame throughout the meditation.
Imagine that you are standing alone on a beach by the sea.
Steep,
Rugged cliffs rise around you,
Shaped over millennia by wind and weather.
The sun is setting,
And the light is golden and soft.
You feel the warm sand beneath your feet.
It offers a gentle invitation to let go.
Behind you,
The azure sea rolls toward the shore in a calm rhythm.
Shhh,
Whisper the waves,
Soothing and steady.
The vegetation is sparse,
But hardy.
Small clusters of thyme,
Lavender,
And rosemary cling to cracks in the rock.
Their scent mixes with the salt of the ocean,
Filling the air with an earthy,
Vibrant energy.
You notice a narrow path winding upward through the cliffs.
You feel called to follow it.
You begin to climb,
And each step feels like a moment inward,
As if the cliffs themselves are opening for you.
The light from the setting sun plays across the stones,
Casting soft shadows.
The colors shift in layers.
Warm ochre,
Pale limestone,
Rusty tones from iron-rich rock.
Everything is bathed in golden light,
And the cliffs glow like amber.
At the top,
The path ends at a gateway carved in white marble,
Framed by flames.
Above the entrance,
A bronze plaque bears the inscription,
The Fire of Transformation.
You step through the gate and enter an open-air temple on a small plateau overlooking the sea.
Four majestic marble pillars surround a square platform where a great fire burns.
You walk toward the flames.
Their warmth sinks into your body,
Loosening your muscles.
You have arrived.
This is the Fire of Transformation.
Behind the fire,
The sun is now only half-invisible.
It paints the sky in orange,
Red,
And violet,
And the first stars shimmer faintly in the evening dusk.
Step forward to the fire and tell it why you have come.
Repeat your intention aloud or silently.
Fire of Transformation,
I call upon you and ask for your help.
I wish to understand what prevents me from standing firmly in my path.
And expressing myself freely.
And I ask for help in releasing what no longer serves me.
The fire flares briefly and you sense that it has received your request.
Then you feel a gentle presence behind you.
You turn and see the Keeper of the Fire,
A loving and wise spirit who has come to support you.
Take a moment to meet the Keeper of the Fire,
Center yourself,
Take a deep breath and gather your strength.
With the Keeper of Fire by your side,
You are now ready to face your shadows.
You will begin by calling the shadows forward.
Not to fight them,
But to listen and receive their wisdom.
Before you start,
Take a moment to acknowledge your courage.
Take strength to meet what has lived in the dark.
Shadow work can cause unease,
Sorrow and resistance.
Move slowly.
Transformation and healing take time.
Listen inwardly and be gentle with yourself.
Call one shadow forward at a time.
Receive only what you have the capacity to hold.
It is not the number of shadows that matters,
But your willingness to meet them with openness.
If you feel moved or overwhelmed,
Allow your emotions to simply be.
Let them move through you like waves rolling in and out.
Don't hold on to them.
And if it becomes too much,
Ask the shadow to step back.
You can always return later.
Begin by inviting the shadows to come forward.
Repeat after me.
Shadows,
I ask you to step forward.
Show me what holds me back from being true to myself and expressing myself freely.
Wait for a moment.
The shadows will reveal themselves.
Perhaps as people,
Beings,
Memories,
Words,
Sensations or simply energy.
There is no correct form.
When a shadow appears,
Call it by name and thank it for coming.
Say for example.
Welcome,
Envy.
Thank you for being here.
Then ask what message it has for you.
Listen.
The shadow will show the role it plays in your energy and awareness.
Envy,
For instance,
May remind you of your true desires,
Urging you to pursue them instead of comparing yourself to others.
When the shadow has spoken,
It will offer you a gift.
A log of firewood.
It symbolizes an energetic blockage that is now ready to be released.
Receive it with gratitude.
Watch the shadow fade away.
Take a deep cleansing breath,
Then call the next shadow forward.
You now have about six minutes to speak with your shadows.
You decide how many you wish to meet.
Remember,
You can always call upon the Keeper of the Fire if you need support.
I will return and guide you when it is time.
It is time to bring your conversation with the shadows to a close.
Take a moment to thank them for their insight,
Their gifts and their courage to reveal themselves.
Now turn to the Fire of Transformation.
Cast your logs of wood into the flames and ask for the fire's help.
Repeat after me.
Fire of Transformation,
I ask for your help.
Help me burn through the blockages that hold me back.
Set me free from the bindings that keep me from being true to myself and expressing myself freely.
Feel how the fire receives your prayer.
Watch the flames consume your logs of wood slowly,
Intensely,
Lovingly.
They turn to ash and dust carried away by the wind.
Feel the warmth of the fire spreading through your body.
Relax and feel a sense of relief.
The old energy has left you.
You are free.
Thank the Fire of Transformation for its help.
The Keeper of the Fire smiles at you and says,
You did well.
I'm proud of you.
You showed up with the courage to face yourself.
That is the first step on the path of healing.
Now ask the Spirit if it has a message for you.
Something you can carry with you as you continue your work with the shadows.
Perhaps a new way to meet your challenges.
Listen with your heart.
It is now time to return home.
Thank the Keeper of the Fire for their support.
Step out of the temple and walk through the gate.
Feel the energy shift as you slowly begin to return to your everyday consciousness.
Walk gently back down the path toward the beach.
With each step,
Settle more fully into your body.
Feel where your body meets the surface.
And sense its weight.
Take a deep breath in.
Hold for a moment.
And exhale.
You have returned.
Open your eyes when you feel ready.
Take a moment to notice how you feel right now.
What effect did the meditation have on you?
Is there something you wish to continue working with?
Sit in silence for a moment and let the experience settle.
Thank you for being here and for having the courage to meet your shadows with love and acceptance.
Well done.
To integrate and root your experience,
You may want to write down what you encountered and reflect on it.
Decide who you want to become and act from there.
Be gentle with yourself.
Transformation does not always unfold as quickly as we might wish.
Give yourself time to work with the change you have initiated today.
Repeat this meditation whenever you need clarity about what holds you back and whenever you feel ready to release what no longer serves you.
Practicing it regularly,
For example in the days leading up to the new moon,
Helps keep your energy flowing freely.
If you feel cold,
You can continue your journey through the elements with me in the next meditation.
Here we return to the embrace of Mother Earth and let her hold us.
You can find it here on Insight Timer whenever you need rest and a place for your intentions to take root.
May you be ruled in your power and may faith and wonder guide your path.
