My dear soul,

Welcome to this Sunset Before Sleep meditation.

May it bring you a night of deep and restful sleep,

Allowing you to wake up refreshed and rejuvenated.

My name is Lisa Watley,

Thank you for joining me.

It is my hope that you embrace the serenity of the sunset and let its calming energy guide you into a peaceful slumber.

And now,

In the comforting embrace of your warm,

Soft bed,

Let us embark on a journey of relaxation and tranquility.

As you settle in,

Grant yourself this sacred time to unwind and welcome the serenity of sleep.

Let's begin by finding your most comfortable position.

Allow your body to nestle into the cozy blankets.

Letting go of any tension that might linger,

And feel the softness of your sheets against your skin,

A gentle reminder that you are safe and supported in this moment.

Now,

Close your eyes and take a deep,

Slow breath in through your nose.

Feel the cool air filling your lungs,

Expanding your chest and belly,

And now exhale gently through your mouth,

Releasing any worries,

Stress,

Or restlessness that may have accompanied you into this space.

As you breathe,

Envision each inhale as a gentle wave of relaxation,

And each exhale as a soothing current,

Carrying away any concerns.

That's right,

Inhale,

Inviting tranquility,

And exhale,

Letting go of the day.

Notice the weight of your body sinking into the mattress.

Allow each muscle to surrender,

Starting from your toes and traveling all the way up to the crown of your head.

Feel the sensation of release,

As if every exhalation is a permission to release any physical tension you may hold.

Now,

Turn your attention to your breath.

Imagine it as a soft,

Luminous light that moves in and out of your body with each inhale and exhale,

And as you breathe in,

Imagine this light spreading warmth and ease through every corner of your being,

And as you breathe out,

Let go of any remnants of stress or discomfort.

And now,

Imagine the sun beginning to dip below the horizon.

Imagine its warm and gentle light as a soothing cocoon,

Enveloping you in a sense of comfort and peace.

In your mind's eye,

Picture yourself lying on a soft bed of grass,

Ready to embrace the night's rest.

Feel the cool evening breeze as it caresses your skin,

Calming your mind and body.

As the sun continues its descent,

Imagine its light carrying away any lingering tension or worries from the day.

Let go of any thoughts that might disturb your sleep,

And surrender to the serenity of the present moment.

Set your intention for a deep and restful sleep,

And visualize yourself drifting off into slumber,

Feeling safe and protected under the watchful eye of the evening stars.

With each breath,

Feel the sun's light infusing you with tranquility and relaxation.

Allow this peaceful energy to flow throughout your entire being,

Preparing you for a night of deep sleep.

Embrace the idea that the setting sun marks the end of the day,

And the beginning of a time for rejuvenation and renewal.

See it as a natural invitation for your body and mind to enter a state of rest and restoration.

Take a moment to express gratitude for the opportunity to witness the evening sunset,

And for the promise of a restful night ahead.

Thank the universe for this gift of tranquility.
