Welcome to a soft meditation to help your mind and body ease into peace.
My name is Linda Orsini and please allow me to guide you into rest.
And so slowly just allow your whole body to settle towards the earth.
Take a deep inhale through your nose,
Pause at the top and then exhale all the way out to the bottom,
The soles of your feet.
Again inhaling,
Breathing in through your nose,
Gently holding your breath at the top.
And then exhaling,
Exhaling,
Letting it all go.
As you inhale,
Feel the breath draw all the way to the crown of your head.
As you exhale,
Feel the breath draw all the way down your body,
Letting go just a little bit more.
Now allow yourself to soften.
And I'd like you to bring to mind something that feels soft.
Maybe it's a feather,
Light and gentle,
Floating in the air.
Something that feels soft and light for you.
And then let your breath become like that.
So soft.
So light.
And if the feather was placed just underneath your nose,
It would hardly flutter.
To float in and out of your consciousness.
There's nothing to hold onto.
Nothing to figure out.
Just allow yourself to receive in this moment.
Softness often comes when there is space.
A gentle spaciousness in your breath,
Your skin,
Your body.
Feel that space and lightness in your chest,
Your belly,
Your arms and legs.
As you release deeper and deeper into gravity.
Your back body is grounded and supported.
Your front body is open,
Soft and spacious.
Light.
Soft.
Spacious.
Light.
Soft.
Spacious.
Allow those words to echo within.
Now gently bring to mind something even softer.
Maybe now instead of a feather.
Bring to mind a cloud.
Soft.
Full.
And resting in the sky.
Feel yourself surrounded by that fluffy cloud.
Your breath drawing in like a whisper.
Drawing out like a cloud dissolving.
Let your breath become quieter.
Slower.
Softer.
Like a cloud drifting across the sky.
There's nowhere to be.
Nothing to do.
You can just be.
Still.
Soft.
Notice how your heart gently rises with each breath in and fully lets go with each breath out.
Let the softness spread through your whole being.
Your jaw.
Your shoulders.
Your chest.
Let go.
Always coming back.
To that soft feather.
Or cloud.
Or whatever brings you comfort.
Feel your body merge with that softness.
As you rest in stillness.
Floating.
Safe.
Free.
Let yourself be here.
Resting.
Breathing.
Being.
Allowing your whole body,
Your breath and your deep centre to draw deeper and deeper into the silence.
Into the stillness within.
Spacious.
Soft.
Spacious.
As you feel yourself resting here in this moment.
Letting peace wash over you.
Letting stillness stay.
Resting in that space of wholeness.
Feeling the breath so light and soft.
A beautiful giving and receiving.
So that you can draw deeper into that silence within.
That deep knowing.
Where softness lives.
Softness in the realisation of this moment.
Connecting deeply with the essence.
Of the here and now.
As you allow yourself to continue to release.
To continue to drift deeper.
Into that light.
Spaciousness.
Of ease.
Of peace.
Of deep rest.
And just like layers of an onion.
Peeling away another layer.
Of what no longer serves you.
Allowing yourself to simply be.
Spacious.
And at peace.
