Welcome to Fearless Authenticity.

We're going to spend the next few minutes refreshing our minds,

Relaxing our bodies,

And rejuvenating our spirits with a guided meditation designed to celebrate authenticity,

Appreciate realness,

Lift the veil of facade to see and acknowledge the beauty that lies within,

To honor what is true,

Real,

And fearlessly authentic within ourselves.

Let's get started.

Find a comfortable place to sit,

Either on the floor or in a chair.

And if you're in a chair,

Uncross your legs and put both feet flat on the floor.

Sit up tall,

Your back and spine straight.

Relax the small muscles in your neck that surround your cervical vertebrae.

And feel your head relax and your spine assume a resting state.

Lift your chin up.

Look out at the world,

Not down at your feet.

Close your eyes or soften your gaze.

Relax your shoulders and let your cares roll down in a way,

Feeling your arms soften.

Take a deep breath through your nose and exhale out of your mouth.

And again,

Inhale and exhale.

Notice the rhythm and cadence of your breath and begin to regulate your breathing evenly,

Slowing it down and finding your comfortable rhythm using the built-in metronome in the back of your mind to inhale to a count that feels comfortable to you and exhale to that same count.

Visualize and feel your brain cells rest,

Your cerebral cortex ease.

Allow your neck and shoulders to feel deep relaxation that streams down both arms,

Into your hands,

And through your fingertips.

Let go of any tension in your core.

Allow the muscles in your back to relax and release stress and feel your hips and legs rest.

Let your mind drift off into reverie,

Expanding as it readies itself to dream a dream,

Where imagination allows an escape that will anchor itself into the folds of your subconscious.

And as you begin your dream,

Visualize yourself walking under the umbrella of a vast starlit sky,

Deep midnight blue,

A thousand heavenly lights twinkling up above.

Feeling warmth surround you,

Envelop you,

You gaze beyond the velvety blue to see a halo of golden light,

Warm and radiant like the sun.

And in your mind's eye,

You sink into this warmth,

Feeling it bathe your body in light,

Immersing the deep tissue and fiber of your corporal being in golden luminosity,

Saturating every cell of your body in brilliance.

And watching,

You visualize this golden chroma concentrate deep inside yourself,

In the region of your abdomen,

Between your ribcage and stomach at your core.

With each breath you take,

This golden light emanates from your center,

Expanding in size and encircling your torso with a luminous ring of light that shimmers and shines,

Vibrating slightly past the surface of your skin,

Radiating outward.

This veil of light obscures the view,

Camouflages with blinding brilliance,

And provides a protective layering,

As though your light is hiding a secret,

Centered in your gut,

Where you receive life's warnings and signals,

Where fear meets bravery,

And where will and determination reside.

Looking closer,

You see a tiny flower bud at your very core,

Its petals tightly shut,

Guarding a small,

Yellow light that glows and pulses,

The secret,

Hesitant.

You reach in and pry a petal loose from its tightly wrapped operculum,

Creating a small sliver of light,

Then another petal,

Then another,

Unfolding into the shape of a lotus blossom.

Pulling the last petal free,

You unleash a burst of brilliance that reveals a large,

Glistening gemstone hidden inside,

A brilliant,

Golden jewel of light.

You feel a connection to it,

You know it is yours,

Your jewel,

And in your state of reverie,

You realize it's something more.

This brilliant jewel,

Centered deep inside its protective folds,

At the core of your being,

Is the manifestation of your authenticity,

Your authentic self,

That at times hides away or stays tightly closed up,

Out of sight,

Perhaps from shyness or from fear.

But your jewel of authenticity wants to shine,

To allow its petals of protection to be pried open with appreciation and love.

To be coaxed into safely revealing the secrets of your soul,

Blooming fully,

Shining brightly,

In celebration of the fullness of who you truly are.

As you inhale,

You smile to yourself,

And exhale with renewed confidence knowing it is safe to bravely let your true self shine,

To thoughtfully say what you really think,

To not be afraid or ashamed,

To like what you like,

Or dislike what you don't,

To be true to yourself,

Real with others,

And fearlessly authentic in everything you say and do.

Your jewel of authenticity is the beautiful representation of your soul's self-expression,

And it's meant to be revealed,

Self-actualized,

Fully realized,

And seen by the world in all its dazzling brilliance.

And as we bring our organized calm to a close,

Bring your awareness back into the room where you are.

Feel your body sitting in its position,

And notice the rhythm of your breath,

The relaxation streaming through your muscles,

The feeling of an expansive and open mind,

And warmth emanating from the still center at your core.

Your heart and mind in accord and in celebration of your soul's high adventure,

Using agency within the greater constellation of all your separate parts,

Can express yourself truly,

Beautifully,

Authentically.

Now as you bring your attention back,

Your breath back,

And open your eyes,

Take your beautiful jewel of authenticity with you into your day and into the days ahead,

Affectionately,

Fearlessly.
