This is nap time so hopefully you are lying down somewhere quiet,
Warm and restful.
We will spend the first 5 minutes breathing and relaxing together and then I'll allow the music to gently support your nap.
You don't have to worry about sleeping too long,
I'll gently wake you up at the end so you can get back to your day refreshed and revived.
Ok,
Let's take a deep breath together and sigh it out.
Let's take a few more deep breaths,
Breathe down into your belly and now breathe deep into your upper lungs.
Let your breathing return to normal.
If you're in the middle of a busy day then rest assured you're doing the best thing you can,
Giving your brain a break and reset will help you through the rest of your day.
If you're having a more chill sort of a day,
It's excellent.
Now let's make it even more relaxing.
Start to feel yourself sinking into the bed or couch where you're lying.
Every time you breathe out feel your limbs get heavier and heavier.
Feel yourself slowly slip into a deep state of relaxation.
Feel that relaxation take hold in your mind,
Easing you into sleep.
Just drifting off.
Start to deepen your breaths.
Before you open your eyes take a moment to appreciate the joy of a nap in the middle of the day.
It's a simple pleasure but has so many wonderful benefits.
Start to move and stretch,
Slowly bring yourself back into the room.
Come to sit up and roll your shoulders forward,
Up and back.
Gently look side to side,
Up and down,
Just very gentle movements to wake up the neck.
Let's stand up,
Raise your arms above your head and stretch.
