So taking a little bit of time to allow yourself to be comfortable.
Perhaps the feet flat on the ground.
Finding that real posture.
Allowing the vertebrae to stack one on top of the other.
And allowing the head to balance above the spine.
Imagining there's a golden thread from the crown of the head which draws you up towards the sky above as you breathe in.
And as you breathe out,
Releasing,
Relaxing.
Letting go.
And checking in with yourself now.
Perhaps noticing how the body is.
Noticing if there's any tightness,
Any holding in the body.
Perhaps any areas of comfort,
Of ease.
Noticing how you are right now,
What emotions,
What feelings are here.
Knowing they're already here,
We may as well notice.
There's no right way to be.
Knowing that you're welcome here this evening,
In this group,
Wherever you are.
You don't have to be any particular way to be here.
Noticing the mind.
Perhaps the mind is busy from the day that's been.
Perhaps the mind is sleepy.
Simply noticing.
Releasing this noticing.
Taking a deep soothing breath in.
Pausing.
And taking a long,
Slow,
Soothing breath out,
Releasing.
Letting go.
Nothing to do.
Nothing to achieve.
Simply being.
And when you're ready,
Coming towards the end of this short settling practice.
Noticing if there's any movement that would serve the body.
Bringing a little movement to the fingers and the toes.
Perhaps stretching.
And in your own time,
Starting to open the eyes.
