So taking a couple of moments to find a comfortable posture,
Perhaps your feet are flat on the ground,
Perhaps adjusting yourself so your arms can be supported in your lap,
Maybe allowing the spine to grow out of the pelvis and the head to balance,
Balance above the spine.
Taking a couple of deep breaths here.
And as you breathe out,
Letting go,
Letting go of the day,
Letting go of whatever you're holding,
Arriving in this space,
In this moment,
Separate from the rest of the day,
Noticing the feet on the ground,
Noticing the gentle movements as the body breathes,
Guiding your awareness up to the ears,
Up to sound,
And seeing if it's possible to notice the whole of the soundscape around you.
Is it possible to allow sounds to come to you without seeking them out,
Rather than noticing just the one sound,
Opening to all the sounds around you,
Noticing as sounds come and go,
Change,
Perhaps noticing the difference between hearing and thinking about sound.
And when you're ready,
Starting to release awareness of sound,
Noticing once more the points where the body makes connection with the air,
Perhaps taking one or two deeper breaths in and out.
And in your own time when you're ready,
Slowly starting to bring movement back to the body and open the eyes.
