Welcome to this meditation.
Today we are going to breathe together and really sink into our bodies and feel what happens when we breathe.
Feel what happens when we breathe consciously.
I invite you to take your first breath in through your nose and your first breath out through your mouth.
And try to slowly,
Breath by breath,
Lengthen every exhale.
When you lengthen your exhale,
You lengthen your inhale.
You breathe out a little longer every time and you breathe in a little longer each time.
What sensations do you feel in your nose when you breathe in?
What part of your nose gets stimulated when you breathe in?
Does it feel rather warm or cold?
And when you breathe in,
Where do you feel the air going towards?
Can you feel the effortless movement of the air going through your nostrils?
Do you feel how,
For a short period of time,
Your nose is completely filled with air?
Can you feel that air moving through your throat into your lungs?
Can you feel the air in the middle of your head,
Slightly in the back of your throat?
How does it feel,
The air moving through there?
Do you feel a cold or warm sensation as the air travels down your lungs?
Do you feel your belly and chest rising when you breathe in?
Do you feel the expanding space in your body making way for air to move through?
Can you feel your lungs receiving the air with grace?
Do you feel that tipping point when you inhale and you are at a maximum expansion before you start releasing the air and making it flow through the same route again,
But then released through your mouth?
Do you feel your belly tucking in and your chest hugging a little closer to your heart?
Do you feel the upward movement of the air going from the outermost part of your lungs all the way back up to your throat,
To the center of your head,
To the back of your throat,
And then out through your mouth?
How does it feel?
Do you feel a cold or warm sensation?
What parts of your mouth are touched by the air moving out of your lungs?
How does your body feel after you breathe?
Is there a pause between each breath,
A moment of breathlessness,
A moment of stillness in your entire system?
Be in that space a little longer and deepen your breaths.
Take your time to consciously breathe.
Feel all sensations from nose to lungs and lungs to mouth.
Inhale life and exhale life.
Breathe in all that you want to incorporate in your system and breathe out everything you want to release.
Deep breaths,
My dear,
Deep breaths.
All is well when we connect with our breath and we become our breathing.
We live our breath and breath is what gives us life every moment.
