All right,
Just come to a comfortable seated position.
You could be in a chair or on the floor,
On the couch,
Anywhere works.
Sitting across from your partner and just start with your palms face down on your own body.
Close the eyes and set a mental intention here to be 100% present in this brief practice.
Setting aside any thoughts or plans for the day to really be here right now with your loved one.
Seal that intention in with a deep breath,
Inhale and exhale,
Dedicating yourself to be in this moment.
Open that up,
In this moment,
Open the eyes and just hold your partner's hands and look into your partner's eyes and take a few deep breaths together,
Inhaling and exhaling.
Be more like that,
Let any tension release from the body on your exhales.
And on this last inhale and exhale,
Let out just a silly sound,
Inhale.
And now tell your partner something you appreciate about them.
I appreciate how patient you are with me.
I appreciate how silly and fun you are.
Just take a moment to let those appreciations and acknowledgements land,
Really feel that appreciation from your partner and to your partner.
And so important to take this time together.
For most of us,
Someone's about to run off to work or take the kids to school.
And it's nice to just have this moment together.
Really savoring it.
And now tell your partner something that you wish for them or hope for them for the day to go smooth and well.
