Rest as the awareness beneath every thought. This Yoga Nidra practice is inspired by Yoga Sutra 1.3: Tadā draṣṭuḥ svarūpe’vasthānam Then, the Seer rests in its own true nature. This sutra reminds us that we are not only the thoughts moving through the mind, the emotions passing through the body, or the stories we carry. Beneath every changing experience is the quiet awareness that knows it. In this deeply restful practice, you will be guided to soften the body, settle the breath, and gently notice whatever arises without becoming lost in it. This practice is for anyone feeling overwhelmed by thoughts, emotions, roles, or old identities, and longing to reconnect with a deeper inner steadiness. You are also warmly invited to join the Living the Yoga Sutras group here on Insight Timer to explore the sutras, share reflections, ask questions, and access related practices. You do not need to become someone new. Rest in the awareness already here.
